They're the "gender is a spectrum" "they/them" Actual T people have some sort of condition where they legit feel prisoners of their own body. I feel bad for them. The loud ones that trouble others basically treat this as a sort of fashion, like how goth used to be the go-to for outcasts. Except, this one uses actually troubled people as a shield from mockery, saying "THAT'S IST OR PHOBE" TL;DR: I feel bad for the actual T people, and scorn the trend chasers.

It's funny how even female players liked the masculine games, they didn't complain when games starring female characters were released like Bayonetta, Metroid, Tomb Raider, etc, because they were good games first that just happened to have female MCs, they just enjoyed them too.

I reject the idea that masculinity is exclusive linked with heterosexuality. There are no reason a Gay guy can't be the embodiment of strength, courage, and compassion. It’s about being confident yet humble, protective yet gentle. True masculinity involves standing up for what’s right, supporting others, and showing kindness. It’s about being a role model, leading by example, and embracing both your strengths and vulnerabilities. The depiction of homosexuality in modern videogames is a mockery of the vast majority of gay people (especially gay guys).

I had a teacher in the 90's that was a tri-athlete in his spare time. quite buff and chill dude. wouldn't know he was gay and it didn't matter. unlike these days where you're only gay if you dress like an excessive degenerate part of the lgbt-whatever community. that virtue signalling group has undermined and undone all the progress groups fought for. all the acceptance that had been build up is pretty much gone.

I know what you are saying but I think the dude on the video is talking about aesthetics, and people underestimate the power of good and bad aesthetics, the "woke" aesthetic is just ugly and terrible and looks overtly degenerate, chaotic, feminine and gay which is a result from trauma and a counter-aesthetic of the religious right's masculinity, straightness and order. Most people actually enjoy lgbt characters with a correct and healthy aesthetic such as Bridget from guilty gear or Big Boss from metal gear solid, because they dont look like ugly sexual perverts that will target your children. You cannot ignore aesthetics and feelings, it's part of human nature, it's normal that 90% of hetero dudes have no interest for the Diversity-coded characters.

Ngl, as a person that enjoys the cozy game genre, I'm fed up as well. I love my cozy games but I don't stay, I switch it up when I want another kind of fun. Prototype was fun as hell for chaos, Assassin's Creed Brotherhood was a blast to play for story and combat, and Red Dead Redemption games are a nice in between for calm and chaos, whatever your mood. Devs should just make what they're comfortable with, but they also should know that games are supposed to actually be fun. Hell, even some cozy games have some mixes in em that make em fantastic. Rune Factory 4 I will praise to the end of my days because it had the best of both worlds; combat and farming life sim. You could tell the creators actually put in some passion. Games now? They just feel like a bunch of souless slop thrown out there.

I appreciate this video so much. I am a strait dude but in high school i talked to all the boys in school about the exact same games. Mortal kombat street fighter, sonic, mario, the legend of zelda. Japanese stories figured this out a long time ago. Time for western media to grow up.

I just wish we got away from this stuff. I'm a bit older and growing up in the 80's and 90's, I thought the future would be better than this. Edit: I also believe a lot of these people are just bad storytellers. In the past you could find messaging in your entertainment without it beating you over the head with it. I think they make these things the focus too much and it makes it feel fake. I always believed growing up people are way more complex than just the immutable.

The Mass Effect trilogy, Dragon Age, Baldur's Gate, the Witcher, etc were all good game franchises and had genuinely diverse characters in terms of gender, faith, orientation, etc. Those characters were done right, unlike the nonsense that is pumped out nowadays.

Men should design and write the male characters in a game, women should design and write the female characters, and nonbinary people should design and write any nonbinary characters. If a character is in the story that no one on the team can relate to-such as a gay man, for example-then the writers should hire gay people to review and critique that character.

I completely disagree. The writer should be free to write whatever they want. This has the same tone as "only asian actors can voice asian characters". Hell no. Thats ridiculous. Just because a women is written by a woman it doesnt mean shes written well or that shes appealing to all audiences. In fact in stories that are supposed to be escapist fantasies, which is a common thing for a video game, its better for men to write every character, including women - if its a game for men and similarly, if its a game for women, its better for women to write every character including men.

Also side point but DAMN IT I wished there was a conclusion to Matt Baker’s story in Brothers in Arms given it was teased in hells highway that he and his squad would be fighting in the Battle of the Bulge when the germans made one last desperate gamble, sadly it’s held by GearBox and given how they’re going about things I don’t think there will ever be a conclusion to Baker or Red and a ending to the brothers in Arms series. Edit: Second side point shame that Mimimi studios closed down, they made Blades of the shogun and Desperados 3 which are games akin to the commandos series on a small genre called “Real time stealth tactics”. Wished they would have made commandos but oh well. LAST sidenote: I despise how Volition messed it all up cause it means there won’t be a sequel punisher game. Also Saints Row was originally about gang warfare and the original first game showed the boss of the saints and other rival gangs stoop lower and lower and lower on their rivalry and the humor while part of saints row it wasn’t the main thing. After they turned the whackyness to 100 thats when Saints row began going downhill.

All these companies are putting noose on their own neck. Everyone knows that gamers have full libraries of unplayed or barely played games. Like I went from buying multiple games a year to maybe 2-3 titles. And a lot of gamers is the same. Studios will strangle themselves and gamers will just shrug and play one of the dozens of games they already own. Market will reset and new "golden age" will come.

People create the media, even if some of it is stuffed with subliminal messages or some other lvl bs. Some of the games do with original styles, and saying they are gay is only opinion, if it goes and tries to be virtuous or have it play as some other toxic play for some movement or something leads it to wasting the effort, because they can't focus on what is good, what really is good, but on what is important to have to do damage. That shows, because they can't even really have people with creative minds and hearts change their direction just to create something to hurt others. DEI and Sweet babies... what ever else there is... They can't do it, because you can't fit every kind of people in the same room. The interview where the woman was going about that SBI is mainly extortion tactic should be enough to open the case quite clearly. P.s. If the room is organized and structured well enough then maybe you can use them all, but there might be people who can't necessarily come together ever. You need resources to do that. Didn't they have studies about how DEI is for making money easier? It was just correlation? Big corps can hire people from different fields of practice, like artists to come up with characters, music, and story, and then engineers to possibly build the game engine, or what ever else they might need, and you can go on if you have money. In some sense you need money to widen the view and perspectives for your work. So... I guess it's mass hysteria over so many people being dumb, and not understanding the basics.
