Reacting to BABYMETAL "Catch Me If You Can" Live

They don't always do the instrumental intro with 'Catch Me If You Can', but when they do it is always special. If you find the Legend 1997 performance they don't have the intro, instead they spend the first two minutes just shouting "hai hai hai" and hyping the crowd up before they even start the song. The song itself is the best metal song about playing a traditional Japanese game like tag or hide & seek - but this is metal, so they are playing with an Oni (a sort of Japanese ogre). The growling vocals are the Oni asking things like "Are you ready?" and the only correct response has to be "Maada da yo" (No, not yet) while doing a running away from an Oni dance. This is the perfect blend of brutal metal instrumentation with the cutest vocals and the choreo is among their very best.

Good reaction, thanks! Heaviest song about playing hide and seek... Yes, "Catch me if you can" is about playing hide and seek or tag... BUT... with an "oni", a sort of Japanese ogre. This was my very first BABYMETAL song, so it's very special to me. I'm glad you enjoyed it. And yes, this is definitely one of their heaviest songs but it also has one of their cutest choreos, including my personal favorite movement: the infamous "Moa slide" hehe... Until next time!

⚡ 💀 💕 / 🏃‍♀️👹 If much of their charm is in the blending of the cute and the brutal, this song is a great example. Both are turned up to eleven. : ) While 'Megitsune' is still my favorite, this has one of the cutest choreographies. They performed this song quite a bit in 2017, but not since. The last time I saw this one live was in Chula Vista, CA when they were on tour opening for Korn.

Nice & thanks again from Japan 有難う💛。Kamis are all remarkable session musicians and they also paly in their own bands or other activities. The 3 girls once said like "We feel we have been protected all the time by Kami band" and Kamis said "The girls took us to stages in the world, outside of Japan. We have nothing but gratitude towards them". The good relation between Kamis and Su / Moa has remained intact. In a recent video uploaded in KZbin, BOH (bass) and Ohmura (guitar) mentioned how excellent "the two persons" were and how much they loved and respected "the two persons". They said so 2 days after the finial show of 10 BABYMETAL Budokan concerts on April 15. They have a gag order about relation with BABYMETAL (Su & Moa), but you can know what "the two persons" meant.

I suppose at this point you noticed that this was a compilation video, with footage from a lot of different shows :D I recognized Legend 1997 in 2013, Budokan 2014, Makuhari Messe 2014, Yokohama 2015, Makuhari Messe 2015, Wembley 2016, Tokyo Dome 2016.

CMIYC is one of the most representative song of kawaii-metal genre they created, super fan, creepy and heavy. I mean, little girls playing hide & seek with a Oni (japanese human flesh eater ogre demon) must be a little bit creepy, right? o_O This specific Kami Band intro is rather unusual to react, so i guess this fan compilation got something good. Happy 22nd Birthday 🎉 to Yui Mizuno aka Yuimetal on 20th June 1999. CMIYC at Tokyo Dome and compilation of other different venues such as the Legendary Budokan Arena, Wembley Arena, Makuhari Messe 1997 Apocalypse shows to name a few. Babymetal production team put in a lot of effort to create an atmosphere suitable for older and younger generation and for everyone to enjoy. Played in front of 55000 @ the Tokyo Dome over two nights is spectacular, not to forget other shows. A song only Babymetal can create playing hide and seek with an ogre 👹 or demon and sung to a choreographed dance routine by three adorable Japanese teens in frilly outfits. So heavy yet so catchy. As for The Kami Band, this is probably the finest musicians lineup Japan has to offer. Kami Band that plays at The Tokyo Dome:- 1. Mikio Fujioka (R.I.P). (Orange Custom Snapper 7). 2. The video you watched overpowered the vocals by the instruments🙁 Anyways.. If you check the lyrics of this song, it's Dark. Playing hide and seek with with an ogre that are trying to kill them. It's funny how they sing a dark song with cute vocals.
