... yes you can? You can definitely want equality, especially in larger society and still have your own relationship dynamics. Straight up part of feminism is reworking the idea that wanting to be traditionally feminine = weak. If the guy paying for everything in a relationship, or a woman being a stay at home mother while the guy makes money is what works for people, then good for them, and part of feminism is empowering women to do that too if that’s what they want. Also, why should women have to compromise wanting a traditionally romantic relationship with having general equality? Isn’t that fucked up? We shouldn’t be basing whether or not women deserve to be equal (in pay/safety/being objectified) on if they pay for a meal. Basically being entitled really not cool but people can be feminist/want equality and still enjoy traditional relationship dynamics

As someone married nearly 2 decades, I don't think the first girl was wrong. Dinner has always been a standard first date option. She didn't say Michelin stars. She didn't say she'd never go grab coffee. But she does appear to want a traditional role and relationship, which means she probably expects the man to true to pursue and impress like men are wired to do. A walk as a first date? Nah, I'd pass, too. Feels like you had to pencil me into the part of your day between points A and B. And I agree with no bars on first (or second) dates.
@user-id7mx6fh3n3 жыл бұрын
I can’t agree on the third one - if you know anything about men you know that texting him first if he hasn’t yet won’t do anything good, if he hasn’t texted you after a good weekend date by the end of the next work week - forget he ever existed. If a guy had a god date he WILL text you within the next few days, if he didn’t than he either didn’t have a good date or he isn’t looking for a relationship right now. He asked “why do you want a man then if you are strong and independent?” And the lady didn’t know how to answer that! This is the issue - strong and independent women these days want to date but they’re so strong and independent men don’t feel like they can compliment or give anything of any value to these kinds of women. Let a man play his part bc he has a part to play towards your dating success. And it’s also so much fun when men and women play their part, don’t you think?! I think it’s great! 😍

Dear Courtney Ryan.... You are absolutely right about women being accountable for their own actions and words, because for any woman to scroll through my cellphone to see who I have texted or go onto my COMPUTER to see all my FILES or for women who believe or MEN think they are ENTITLED -- BAGH!! .... Our culture has insisted MEN must be the breadwinner because for far too long MEN have not been held accountable for denying women a role in business and everyday issues in society..... Men and Women need to participate with one another as a TEAM... It takes effort to raise a family... It takes effort to earn money rather than stealing.... It takes effort to teach kids instead of hitting kids. It takes effort to listen to a woman rather than smacking a woman... It's easier to get lost in drugs rather than dealing with issues... The relationship games have spun out of control.... Always in Good Taste... CHEERS!! ... Courtney is so cool....

You just cannot afford the first girl. Her hair and face cost probably $3,000. She would not be caught dead in a pub with broke dudes- older men that are surgeons and lawyers go for chicks like her because they can impress her. She’s not the type that would attract mediocre dudes that want every thing for cheap.

The message at the end of this video is awesome. People need to let go of their preconceived notions about modern dating and remember we are just human beings. I do think it is important to check somebody behaving like this before you just move on though. I agree that continued unreciprocated effort spells the end of a relationship and that the behavior is a huge red flag, but there are also plenty of good people out there doing this to you even though they actually genuinely like you. Modern dating's abysmal state has left a lot of people with low confidence in their dating lives which gets them more caught up in thinking about how they're supposed to act versus how much they actually like you. This certainly doesn't excuse the behavior, but the fact is that if you're dating someone who is uncomfortable, you're probably not dating the real person. Sometimes all someone needs to open up to you is an a bit of a push towards reality and a second chance.

Jeez, I met such one girl...the best definition is "leech" - she has showed so many red flags, that I stopped any comunication with her. 1) Getting mad at print house employee because a saved document file she gave to print resulted in incorrect print (not employee fault that we gave incorrect file, also computer mishaps can happen) and she had to pay literally just 0.5 $ more for corrected print because employee corrected our mistake in file saving and even managed to make high quality print - it was a technical drawing for her project so she could pass her course finally. 2) Why she offered to participate for dancing lessons as a partner for dance and not coming to lessons leaving me without partner to dance... There was any information about absence or even "sorry" - couple times in a row. 3) Calling on phone and asking if I am at home and she can borrow money out of blue, without telling a reason and what happened - I wasn't at home, so I declined. 4) Not wanting to do anything with her project to pass final engineer exam, then wanting me to help while deadline is close and not even saying "thank you" after passing first part, where without my help she was unable to pass. So I didn't bother if she passed last part. Communication cut off. This is sad. Meet a girl with a kind of look that hits your hormones and you get that false first good impression after first talk, but if you listen and observe longer then you spot such a turn off. But it happens and I am happy I didn't went immediately for close relationship.

My parents would often say that there are more bad and toxic people in the world than there are good. I used to think they were being pessimistic, but as I've gotten older it's getting more and more clear that they are right. So I don't blame men who are opting out of dating and marriage and feel sorry for the genuine good girls out there who are mostly affected. The time, resources, and heartache it takes trawling through the cesspit and minefield just to find these girls, in the end, isn't worth the effort. By that point, we're too tired, wounded, and jaded to keep trying.

The whole topic of who pays for the first date (when the couple is heterosexual) is very interesting. I recently read a survey of about 300,000 people asking for their opinions on this, and it varied a lot by sex and geography. Men are more likely than women to think that the man should pay, and people living in culturally conservative and religious parts of the US are more likely to think that the man should pay than those who live elsewhere. In my own state, which is very culturally liberal and irreligious, there's actually a larger percentage of women who think that one should go Dutch on a first date than think that the man should pay. And very large numbers of the survey respondents simply had no opinion one way or the other.
@jleano6093 жыл бұрын
Yes but what women say on a survey and what they actually think when the guy suggests they go Dutch may be two very different things…..
@Anduwaithe3 жыл бұрын
@@jleano609 Indeed; what we believe in the abstract doesn't always match up with how we behave in practice. That's why, if I'm the one who did the asking out, I go with the "No, this is my treat. You can get it next time" approach. Assuming I want to see them a second time, that is.

A woman may not *need* a man in many scenarios, not only those with onlyfans or sugar daddies, please...there are many successful women, who don't need a man, who own businesses, or have high positions and yet they will expect the man to pay and they will find men, who will gladly pay on dates. Why? Because at the end of the day, women and men are not equal,and this has nothing to do with needing or not needing a man or being independent, because the woman CAN of course pay her own bill, but she gives the man the option to be a gentleman, which many men appreciate, there are other reasons as well, but I will not go into them in this comment. By saying that those women are on "onlyfans", or with sugar daddies, which only a very little minority of women actually are, you are in fact bashing women...just like the comment about the filter, you could've just left it out. It's not classy. Sorry.

You're just mad because she's speaking facts. Women hate when other women call them out and you're one of them that I see. You're independent, pay for your own ish. It's 2021, it's fair when both parties go half. No one wants another bill. They want a partner.
@chansinging913 жыл бұрын
@@gmoney537 first of all, I'm not mad. I don't like having to bring other women down to make men like you more, which is what she's doing, maybe even subconsciously. I pay for my own dishes and more, I will not protest that my partner pays for me if we go out together, this works for me, if it's not what works for you- great. I think that my comment was quite factual as well. As long as other women are not put down, go 50-50 all you like. 🙂

@@chansinging91 she's not putting other people down. She is just speaking facts. This is why the dating scene is such a minefield, so much conflicting, self entitled advice out there. Finding a beautiful partner who based and doesn't have unrealistic and misguided expectations is so hard to find. As I've got older life experience has taught me that you need someone who wants you as much as you want them. If they are interested in you they will make the effort, if your the one constantly keeping the momentum going after a reasonable effort you need to ask yourself is this worth it. There is no value in flogging a dead horse. We need more Courtney Ryan's out there for us guys.
