The distance from the foul line to the foot of the basket is about 15 feet. But remember, he's also dunking on a 10-foot tall rim, so he's actually covering a distance slightly above 18 feet from his feet to the rim. Most people in the world wouldn't have a prayer of doing that dunk successfully. Many NBA players couldn't even do it, which is why it's always incredible when someone does.

One of my favorite basketball stories is one about Michael Jordan having back to back dunks in a game. Unfortunately I forget the details of who they were playing but Jordan got the ball, drove and dunked on the other team's point guard who was around 6 feet tall (just under it I think). As he ran back down the court to play defense a fan yelled at Jordan "Hey, Michael how about picking on someone your own size!" The very next trip down the floor on offense, Jordan got the ball again and dunked it on the other team's 7 foot tall center. Jordan started running back down the court, made eye contact with the fan that yelled at him and yelled back "Was he big enough?" Actually it might have been the other team's coach that yelled at MJ, not a fan.
@campbellj30764 жыл бұрын
The reason Vince had a smaller crowd was that he was doing an exhibition game at UNC the college he went to. Not many NBA fans in the area, mostly just College b-ball fans
