Geoff hit a c1 note at the end of his "way down" cover and he even hit b0 in voiceplay's valhalla calling

Tim Foust is my favorite bass hands down. No one does the growl technique better. Not only is he impressive how low he can go but he can sustain it for a long time as well. He is able to do it consistently in live shows too. Also impressive is how high Tim can sing with his 5 octave range. Never been a fan of subharmonics. It just sounds like someone burping really low. I know Tim Foust, Avi Kaplan & Elliott Robinson do not use it.

Tim is the king of the growl and Geoff the master of the subharmonic. I have tried to use the growl technique and it is WAY more difficult for me than subharmonics. How Tim can sustain and phonate with the technique is amazing.

@@johndeeregreen4592 Yeah Tim is just amazing with growl. I just don't understand how he can hold the growl so long

@@Lumydos, I can do an A0 sub all day, a B0 in chest-fry, but I try a growl below E1 and I am coughing for an hour. I've tried to emulate his G1 growl (even though I can hit it in chest) at the end of "Ring of FIre"... I make it about 5 seconds.

If you're going to start on reactions, I'd suggest you consider a few Halloween reactions while the time is still right.I'm sure the other guys have a few, too, but Geoff's Halloween song from last year "Jack's Lament" was amazing. And VoicePlay's entry for this year "Thriller" is really cool. Geoff did a great job with the Vincent Price narration. BTW - Geoff's wife would have been there on set for that Christmas song with the 3 gals. She's an integral part of all his filming. Often Geoff and Kathy are the only crew.

@@17ischaemia I talk in slightly lower notes on a daily basis comfertably. I like how you're guessing my lowest though. Sometimes I just find it hard to reach lower notes. I got to admit that you are right in saying that some of the notes are chest-fry on the more lower notes in F#1 and lower but some days it's just like that. Sometimes I can do F#1 and notes like that without chest-fry. Either way I get where you're coming from
