Reactors were freaking out at how incredible this video was when it first came out, especially if they were big fans of Skyrim. I am not a gamer, but I was wowed. Cesar was wearing twenty pounds of real armor. I loved Geoff's arpegio work in the background.

VoicePlay’s Dragonborn wowed me so much, I decided to try Skyrim. It’s a great game, even if I’m just a mediocre 58 y/o newbie gamer. I still play occasionally. And I Geoff’s arpeggio’s are the best! ❤❤❤

I think some of the confusion about what was in the original is because they combined two songs from the game into this. The first song you hear is one from in one of the taverns I think? And the one sung in Dovakin is the main theme I believe.

Absolutely love this cover. Thank you Shellee for requesting it, have been looking forward to this one! I was blown away by Layne in this. I find it amazing how the sound is so much different in this. I try to figure out how he does the magic he does, but a beat boxer I definitely am not. 😂

😊I'm too addicted to Voiceplay to stop requesting them. 😆I figured since Voiceplay's music has helped me through some hard times I'd share the love. I'm glad you liked this one, but then again what's not to love about this? All I gotta say is if you guys love what Klown creates come join us in the live streams, as well as his discord.

This was actually the first VoicePlay Song I ever heard - a fellow RPGer recommended it to me. Funnily I had found Geoff before that all by myself, but had no idea that he was also in a group. Have been a huge fan ever since.

Geoff says he went a little bit overboard with the costumes. I don't think so. Poor Cesar had to lay down on the floor between takes because of the weight of the 20 lbs of real chainmail. Geoff walking in with that low note and carrying a skull in his hand. I love when they do game theme. HALO, In The Cold Below etc.

There are two versions of "The Dragonborn Comes" I adore: This one from VP and the one by Lara Loft & Saltatio Mortis (worth a view, when you like the song!). And because I can't join the livestreams (I'm offline at the time) I want to thank @ShelleeRoe here, for bringing so much Voiceplay to Klown (and us)! ❤🥰

As I understand it, the English-language lyrics and the dragon-language lyrics, are originally from two different songs, both of which occur in the game. I don't think VoicePlay was necessarily the first group to combine the two songs into a single arrangement.

When l was younger l was into medieval reenactment for almost 20 years, my specialty the making of armor of the 12th to 14th century CE. So yes, a chainmaille can be as heavy as 20 to 30 lbs. There are 2 reasons for Cesar to have to lay down, the first obviouly him not being used to it. The second is, that he hadn't strapped it correctly to him. When you use narrow leather straps at the right places to tighten the maille the weight gets distributed more evenly on the torso instead of the shoulders alone and you can wear is quite comfortable over an extended time. It's like wearing a heavy backpack then😉 I even managed to sleep in it a few times. I hope you enjoyed this little armor context, as l enjoyed your reaction a LOT, again👍

30 pounds sounds about right. When I played LARP, it was what I was wearing as chain mail armor as well. And it makes an impact on realism. Because, you know, you can't just hop around like a rabbit when you have a second skin out of metal. Heavily armored knights were still kind of agile, but you had to have a certain level of training to achieve that.
