I honestly just wish she had done her research. But also, though I think huge congratulations are in order for the sister, she should've been a bit more diligent in answer and not trying to evade the question because to most viewers it'll look like she was beaten. There is precedence for this on the other side as well. How many male nuns are there? How about female popes? Imam is a specifically male role due to the obligations of an imam. It's also not the highest role in Sunni Islam, that would be Mufti, in terms of non-prophets. I'm not saying the Muslim community has no work to do, quite the opposite, I'm just saying if you want to look for notable Muslim women throughout history, you will, and in much higher positions than imams.

2:10 why would there be female priests when the Bible says this: 1 Corinthians 14:34-35: 34 Women should remain silent in the churches. They are not allowed to speak, but must be in submission, as the law says. 35 If they want to inquire about something, they should ask their own husbands at home; for it is disgraceful for a woman to speak in the church. As far as Islam is concerned, women are allowed to ask the imams questions when in the mosque. They can’t be imams themselves in mosques, but they can ask under certain conditions if I’m not mistaken. The Bible doesn’t allow questions to be asked at all in Church, so where’s the wisdom in that if they can (and apparently do) have female priests? I’m genuinely wondering because it seems like double standards on the BBC’s part.
