Reacting to BIG BANG MAMA performances 2014 and 2015!

when GD and Taeyang trained, they were expecting to debut as a duo. GD made a few songs for Taeyang and for both of them together.

@@MiloCantTalk They were training for a hiphop/rap duo (even Taeyang was rapping back then) but YG decided to debut them as a 5 member idol group instead. Daesung, TOP and Seungri started training a bit later than the duo. TOP was actually GDs childhood friend and he called Tabi when YG wanted another rapper in the group. There's a Bigbang the beginning documentary here in youtube where they are just debuting.

They added TOP who was an underground rapper, had won a competition, has the opposite scheme and tone from main rapper GD so they have hi flying rapper GD and bass grounding rapper TOP as killer combo Daesung was easily into BigBang, he has such great voice but Seungri was eliminated and sent away home but he didn't give up and came back with performance and gave YG 5 reasons why he should be in BB and he was just 16 or 15 ? This korean age system confusing at times ... Taeyang & GD were a fixed in for BB but for the 3 others was a survival .. TOP was obese and had to lose weight before he got accepted as trainee ...

@@MiloCantTalk at that time YG didnt had an idol group and the company saw the success SM was having with idols and decided to make a group too. GD brought TOP to the company . They were childhood friends and TOP was an underground rapper then. Seungri , Daesung and another boy joined the trainees competition. In the end 5 debut and the 6 boy left . He later debut in Beast .

It was only GDYB at 2014 as BIGBANG as a group hadn't released music that year. I felt the audience were really into the performance in 2014.

At BIGBANG concerts there are always spaces to present the entire band that accompanies them as well as the dancers. It is very nice that they make their fans take them into account, many VIPs know the people who work with them because the same group was in charge of giving them the necessary recognition

@@MiloCantTalk I understand there were some negative reactions and comments after the diss but Bigbang returned in 2015 with the MADE series and obliterated any competition in the charts. It shut everyone up.

In 2014 2NE1 should be winning for album of the year due to the sales of the album. But MAMA didn't give the winner to 2NE1 due to silly scandal about Bom. GD was very mad about this and diss MAMA at his performance.

@@3694co no, it's because MAMA didn't let 2NE1 winning any of the category although 2NE1 songs & album perform very well that year. Just because Bom has scandal which also false scandal. Bigbang is very close with 2NE1 like brother & sister.

@@vitanurarini3725 , in fact I think it was a mix between those two things. Plus other things MAMA did. Maybe what happened with 2NE1 was the last straw, but I don’t think it was the only reason for the diss.

The two greatest MAMA performances of all time. I dearly hope to one day see them perform on stage again. You're right about giving the dancers the stage too. That's Parris Goebel and her dance crew. She choreographed BANG BANG BANG and many other songs. Mnet finally gave more attention to the dancers in 2021 after Street Woman Fighter and once again giving dance crews their own stages at the awards show.
