I think swag itself has a simple and effortless vibe to it, so incorporating swag into sound may sound simple, especially in Whistle. Although there are other swag songs like How You Like That, I think the reason that song doesn't sound boring or simple is that it has a baddie, powerful, and strong accent to it.

Luna, the voice you like in lovesick Girl with pink hair, is Rosé, the band's main vocalist. Yes, I agree with you that at the start of their career it wasn't their real vocal ability that Teddy got them to sing like that. Besides, if you like this song so much, it's because Jennie and Jisoo wrote the lyrics entirely. The two people in Black Pink who really have a fine pen for writing are Jennie and Rosé. I think you should watch behind the scenes of love sick girls !in chorus they had to do exercise to warm them up because they shooted it in cold weather ,especially in bridge of song, jisoo standing in middle of pool ,ice cold water pouring on her but still she successfully completed it. Blackpink is the first Kpop girl group that I really fell in love with, their individual journey's are what drew me to them. They come from such different backgrounds and have gone through so much. They have never been the kind of group to release music every year but they have always had a special place in my heart despite the fact that I wish they would have a much longer discography. This alone makes me love and appreciate them more, because even though they have (most likely forced to and had no option) been creatively restricted for a reason I will never understand, they still managed to become one of the biggest (THE biggest in my opinion) Kpop girl group. My favorite song from them is probably from their last album BORN PINK, maybe Yeah Yeah Yeah or Pink Venom

Fun fact : Whistle is like “a miss or hit song” for their debut, the member and the producer said it themselves, they said they loved it but the executives of their agency not really liked it so that was why the producer kinda in dilemma whether they should release this song or not but then his final decision was to release this as their debut song alongside Boombayah. Then they got their first win in music show with Whistle and Whistle got a lil more popular than Boombayah in Korea

I'd recommend As if it's your last, Stay and Playing with fire for you from Blackpink's title tracks, those are pink songs, meaning they fit your style. (I'm glad you reacted for Lovesick girls tho). They have amazing B sides btw, most of them would be your taste, like Happiest girl, You never know, Ready for love, Don't know what to do, Really or even Forever young or Hope not. 😊 They have "different" songs compared to each other, beacuse they have "black" and "pink" songs, meaning they either have bad*ss and cool songs or more fun or love songs. 😊 Whistle is an experimental song, I love it's choreography and MV tho and it has one of the best bridge in kpop for me.
