Suga had surgery on his shoulder for an old injury and had to be away from group activities for approx. 3 months and this show fell during that time .. did you see the space they left for him?? So sweet 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜 BTS will always be 7🥰🥰

This was performed in November 2020, still in Covid lock down times so there were no live performances in front of audiences. Suga was away for a couple of months, finally having shoulder surgery from the injury he got pre debut. They always left a space for him, carried a picture with them. In one performance, they even had him as a snowman! ON has 2 official MVs, one I'd the Kinetic Manifesto with the marching band and lots of dancers. I can't remember if you watched the other story MV. If not, go back and watch it as it is more like a movie. In that MV it starts on a battlefield after the battle has finished and the dove, symbol of hope, has been killed by an arrow. Jin, later in the MV, opens the birdcage that he put the dead dove in and it flies out, hope is restored. At the end of Black Swan in this performance Jin let's the dove fly and the ON set starts. The staircase with them walking down at the start is from the sister song N.O from 2013. If you watch that MV you will see that and recognise the white sheets in the set design. This was an unusual year because of the pandemic. The MMA usually has a huge audience, MAMA too. MMA 2018 is epic (performances of Fake Love, Airplane Pt 2, Idol), and MMA 2019 (performances of Intro Persona, Boy in Luv, Boy With Luv, Mikrokosmos, Dionysis with short parts of remixes of No More Dream - 2013, Danger - 2014, I Need You - 2015, Save Me - 2016, Fire - 2017, Fake Love - 2018 and Dionysis 2019) is the most incredible performance I have ever seen and I am 52 years old. it helps to know a little Greek mythology for that one.

Because of Covid no one performed live. The awards were also pre-recorded. BTS swept the awards that year also. BTS has 2 logos side by side representing them and army. The part in Dynamite is a tribute to MJ.

Yes RM has beautiful eyes. 🤗 I have heard ARMY call them dragon eyes. There is something very exciting and luxurious about them, swoonworthy. The logos represent doors. The Melon Music Awards are a Korean music award show. Have you not seen BTS's performances at MMA 2018 or MMA 2019. The best live performances ever at the actual shows.

From the choreography that combines modern dance and ballet in the early part of Black Swan to the disco vibes of Dynamite in the later part, I’m amazed every time at how one group can master such completely opposite genres so flawlessly! * I recommend you their "Jump" live for your next!! You will meet "sooo powerfully aggressive" BTS : )

The logo are doors- symbolize BTS's growth and their desire to connect with a broader audience and also for the youth that are not satisfied with their current status, situations etc and want to move forward...if you look at their earlier videos in the debut era the logo was a bulletproof vest. It has since then been rebranded ❤ This Dynamite performance is my very favorite 😍 Enjoy your day and thank you x

Yes, you are correct, they have left space for Suga who was out due to a shoulder injury and he had surgery and was recovering. So these we pre-recorded for the actual awards, which was done on-line due to the pandemic. The logo represents doors opening for everyone to enter. The Dynamite dance break was epic! MJ would be proud!

The bts logo is an open door that welcomes everyone to enter and which related to their song MAGIC SHOP which jk wrote that once you enter to the magic shop or bts house you will not regret it and you'll start to love them.

Apart from Yoongi being missing, the 2020 MMAs are one of my all time favourites... Life goes on they were looking like literal Princes in their Chanel.... Yoongi waited so long for his shoulder surgery, I was so happy for him that he finally got the opportunity to have the long enough break to get it sorted.... His rehab was difficult and they were separated due to Covid which was hard for everyone of course, but for them they had not really been apart up to that point.... He put up with that pain for like 7yrs (he had the accident pre-debut but took a while to tell the company) I can't imagine how it must have hurt doing some of their early choreography.... Yoongi is one tough soul that's for sure....

Suga is not present because of shoulder surgery. This performance was during pandemic so it’s not all one performance. The difference in the logo is it’s a door one representing Army and one representing BTS

There is a behind the scenes video of them doing their performance. The filming of the water part was amazing. Suga finally had shoulder surgery during this time. His grand entrance when he returned to the stage and group was 🥹

The Logo are doors opening. That whole dance break is MJ. They start it with the Pepsi fizz. MJ use to do Pepsi commercials. J-Hope with the hat and each members doing the lean.

Add others have told you bts's current logo symbolizing opening where is a couple of meanings to their logo first then opening the doors to magic shop to connect with army. Also doors as in not accepting the reality and having freedom of connection the freedom to make things better they also expanded in chapter 2 to be the to be the pages of a book turning the page to a new chapter and keep moving forward in life. Also armies logo is the same but inverted because if you put your two together it creates a shield symbolizing the BTS and army will always protect each other while fighting to do good in the world which is also the reason that Army is called bts's shield or as BTS themselves always say their biggest voice. Especially for BTS sometimes they can't speak when they want to so we do it for them!💜

This 2020 performance was I believe during Covid so that is why you do hear or see and audience. Suga was FINALLY having his shoulder surgery and could not be here. 😢❤

It's why you do NOT hear or see the audience. They aren't there. All performances for the award show were filmed and sent in. They could edit what they sent in. Thus, them changing from white costumes to black in a blink *Wink.

You have to remember this was the 20202 MMA awards and it was during the pandemic so this was per recorded, hope that helps also Yoongi had shoulder surgery so he could not be there BUT they always left his spot open thru out the performers

It’s funny u mentioned hair being different. There’s a hilarious meme about jk vs his hairspray bc from red carpet to the diff performances, his hair goes thru the stages of looking so tight and clean to being all wild 😂💜💜
