Because most of the footage (including the siblings' reactions to the piano) from the Impossible Piano video was filmed a while ago. (The newer clips in that video are the ones where David's wearing a baseball cap.) David just didn't get around to finishing the video until recently. The siblings' reactions in *this* video were of course shot recently, hence why John has a beard, Daniel's voice is a bit lower, etc. :)

I'd be interested in a repair video where you try and fix some of the issues with it. Assuming it's possible to get the individual keys out it should be easy to fix the obvious layout error, then it's just a case of sourcing some proper rods for the wacky notes.
