The tea sapplings method is soooo good if you do it correctly. Especially if you farm wild seeds in the winter for the seeds, wood farm as usual, and farm fiber in the mines until you unlock the bug lair which will give you fiber every day in larger quantities. Start saving fiber and leave fiber patches on your farm to start farming. Also put hundreds of sapplings in the train station and forget about it. You will have tons of wood when you remember to harvest.

haley is the best character in the game and i stand by that!!! if you think about it realistically, she is a pretty girl so she is probably used to having to ward off creepy men so her standoffishness in the beginning makes sense. the girl is just trying to live her life. once you get to know her she is so sweet! when you marry her she makes you breakfast almost every morning which is super helpful in game and so kind. lastly she organizes the charity cake run thing in order to buys new school books for vincent and jas since lewis cant be bothered!!! a good samaritan!! who can beat that?? yall sleep on haley and I will have no more haley slander!!!!! she for real is the best character in the whole game

On the mushroom vs bat cave: This (and the fact that I'm a forest farm kinda human so I get nearly every mushroom at some point anyway) is why I always choose fruit bats too! If I forget, I'm not limited to literally just _six mushrooms,_ I can have a bunch of fruit. The first time I ever forgot I actually got an apple, and from what I understand those are pretty rare in the fruit cave, so I kinda...took it as a sign that this would be the cave for me. Also thank you for acknowledging the non-binary folks, whenever i make a new save, I literally always make them female but as GNC as possible, and then just use a gender neutral dialogue mod. :P

Contrary to popular belief, the numbers for the bat cave simply don't pan out. Yes, if you get lucky, you might complete some bundles - but the fruit are part of the bundle that can also be filled with animal products - which you have to get anyway for another bundle. And if you actually get the 3 apples for your fodder bundle from the bat cave, you should just play the lottery instead of SDV. Also, the difference in gift usefulness is negligable. Who would even want to give gifts to Elliot?

Imo the bat cave is better long term just because you only need to check it once a season rather than once every two days which gets tedious in late game

This is doubly true if you mod and end up with a bigger cave (like the hot spring cave, or the mod that connects the mine and the cave) - in such a case if you miss days then those spots are going to be filled up with more fruits because of how the game works. For the mushroom cave, though, you will not get more mushrooms even in a bigger cave unless the mod specifically is built to do that.

I almost had the same thing with Shane on my first farm. I was aiming for Elliott, but happend to meet Shane in the saloon on his birthday and decided to order him a drink. No idea at that point that I accidentally gave him a loved gift and suddenly he was my best friend xD I still chose Elliott though, because I didn't want my farmer to take on Shane as a project. That felt unfair to both of them.
