Love his posture, keeps his back straight and his shoulders square, very athletic drummer, Fear Inoculum is a great album for late night driving, long, expansive songs w/some cool introspective lyrics

Danny Carey is the absolute best drummer that has ever lived. All the band members of Tool are the masters of their respective crafts. If you want to go down a rabbit hole read up a bit on the band. Also of note, Tool will record the instrumentals and only after that does the singer hear it and write the lyrics.

The first sentence of this makes me laugh. As the man who installed the forward cam as an employee of Vic Firth I can say this decision was not decided by Tool but was a request to push sales of his signature series sticks. They allowed us to shoot after us asking. We actually had 4 cameras on the kit but the above/behind cam kept going in and out so the footage was useless. I remember the convos the Firth crew and I had with Danny during preliminary sound check the 3 of us had to ask him to sit behind the kit because if any of the 3 of us sat behind the kit as we aligned the cameras, most of the footage would had been at Danny's throat or lower ( the tallest of us was 7 inches shorter than him) Best part was joking with him about his choice in cymbals. He uses Paiste and Vic fFirth is an subsidiary of Zildjian Cymbals which is 20 miles east of our facility. Great show and great views from our suite.at the TD Garden
