Danny Carey was playing 3/8 with his right hand, triplets with his left hand while matching the 4/4 of the bass guitar with the right kick and HH on the left foot. And it's incredible to hear the 3/8 come around to line up with the 4/4 at different points every few measures. The band is pure magic.

10:30 Danny actually uses a remote/"cable" hi-hat stand. He's operating the pedal with his left foot, but it's separated from the rest of the hi-hat stand, which he positioned between his bass drums. At this part, he's playing (very light) quarter notes on the bass drum, as well as with the hi-hat. From what I've seen, when he's keeping a consistent pulse on the hi-hat like this, I _believe_ he utilizes a sort of back-and-forth rocking motion (toe to heel) with his left foot; that's why you don't see him moving his left leg very much here--because he's primarily just using his foot.

Sometimes you will find that actually moves you to a place you can't describe. All of the components of tools music just blows my mind, I've literally had tears watching Danny play. Amazing.

This drumcam is a video every drummer or percussionnist should see at least once a week, to remember how important it is to keep training and stay humble

Your reactions between 12:32 and 13:05 just made my day. You simply can't stop smiling. It's such an incredible experience to watch & listen Tool, i shared the joy with you while i was watching the video. Kiss Jack for us, welcome the army little fella :)

’ve watched this live performance probably 100+ times and I hate to say it, but I’ve also watched about 30 reactions to it. Yours is BY FAR the best commentary. First off, when the phone dings... basically, I’m sipping a beer, holding my little guy and listening to Danny Carey live... fuck off! Also, you get as hype as I get EVERY time I show this to someone. You sir have just gained a subscriber. A1 video!

I’ve seen tool 3 times and one of the times was on the 3rd row. It was so amazing, probably one of the most memorable experiences in my life!! I love how tight they play too. It really is spectacular how they all hit perfectly on time.

When the little guy develops those neck muscles he’ll be a little head banger. Good job dad 👍

Man Adam Jones always doing what the song needs, without any kind of showing off.. Also that center piece where Danny does four different rhythyms is just insane. And how it builds up to an unison beat...

It’s humbling to see that other people react to music like this. I literally cannot stay still or stop smiling when I listen to music I love.
