I know people have probably said the Buu Bits, but I want to suggest Totally Not Mark's review of the Buu saga which goes over the story and his personal thoughts with the Buu bits. That way there's context of the story whenever they abridge a scene because otherwise you may be lost of some of the jokes. If you end up only doing the Buu bits, that's fine too. You guys do you. And afterwards, watching Battle of Gods, Ressurection F and Dragon Ball Super.

Theyre actually only in there for 10 months. The dont spend the full year inside. So he goes in days before he turns 10, and comes out 2 months before he'd turn 11

I love the clever and subtle writing of TFS, dropping facts here and there as jokes, because, for example, they played Goku silly but Goku asking Gohan why didnt he go Super Saiyan in Namek makes perfect sense and it is a legitimate question considering other facts still to come.

In case you guys didn’t realize, vegeta is using a new form here called ascended super saiyan, hence the bigger muscles and spikier hair. Trunks also uses this form as well.

It was stated that this form of Super Saiyan isn't 2, rather Vegeta called it Super Vegeta. In the games, both Vegeta and Trunks' ascended Super Saiyan forms are also referred as Super Vegeta and Super Trunks.

Gohan is 11 when he kills cell, which includes the 1 year in time chamber (making his body 10) so in this episode he's 9 cuz the year in the chame aint up yet and he has a birthday before he kills cell

You guys should watch Yugioh the Abridged Series next. It was the one that inspired all the other abridged series and is still kind of going, though there's only a new episodes every once in a while. And there might be even less of you guys that have actually seen Yugioh, especially the entire thing. There's currently 85 episodes but the early episodes were quite a bit shorter at only a few minutes each but later episodes tend to be 10+.

Totally with you guys on how far TFS came when it came to their writing. It went from pretty dated and, admittedly, low hanging fruit parody (“oh no my marijuana farm” and “hey it’s boobs! I mean Bulma!”) to bring so well written it could almost be considered a dub in its own right, even with all the humor that’s still there. I feel like Hellsing Abridged is kind of the same way, where they went from pretty dated references to being able to balance hilarious jokes/delivery with competent and engaging writing.

The dialog in this episode is probably my favorite in the abridged series. Its too bad, vegeta coula killed cell, stolen any chance of victory from kakarot, saved the planet, and rubbed everyone's nose in it at once. And potentially be stay stronger than goku for a little bit.

Since everyone's suggesting the obvious ones, I'm gonna pitch Final Fantasy VII Machinabridged. TFS's final abridged series and one of their best. It's like DBZA, it starts more parody-ish, but then it becomes such a great retelling of FF7's story with that good ol' TFS flair.

I think its worth noting that up until the Cell Saga, Vegeta has the most on screen kills in Z. Some would try to say Nappa, but Vegeta decimated earth's military forces (much like Cell) alongside Nappa.

I'm glad they didn't continue on to the Buu saga. By this point, they had stopped making a comical "abridged series" and were doing a straight up "fandub" of the series. I enjoy their dub of the Cell saga better than the American dub of it, but the jokes they added were getting really minor and not too "out of character" compared to the original. By this point the only real difference between the TFS version and the original was the voice acting, with a few jokes thrown in. I guess that shows how high quality they became, that they were able to dub an anime as well as the professionals. But they were no longer transforming the original content enough to call it an "abridged" series. You can watch the TFS Cell saga and then go to the American dub of the Buu saga without stumbling. You'll lose some potential jokes, but even the voice acting is similar enough to make it a smooth transition. I like to think that's part of why they stopped, because they realized they were just doing a second english dub of a series that already had a good english dub and they weren't even being paid like the original dubbers. Instead they branched out and played with other projects, like their "let's plays" with Krillin's voice, some of my favorite let's plays to date. Those would be fun to watch a "reaction" video to.

If you guys are Taking requests from KZbin I would love to see Hajime no Ippo. It is a classic anime from 2000 and it is about how a High School Student gets into boxing. I really enjoy watching it as the main writer owns and runs a boxing gym. Very dynamic and old school animation style and very good story arcs that isn't just about the fights but also how they all learn about boxing and how to prepare for matches. Also Cowboy Bebop. a nice Space Western Anime.

I second what others have said about Sword Art Online Abridged, by Something Witty Entertainment (SWE). It starts out rough, but SWE swapped out cast members after episode 3 due to personal differences, and the quality and hilarity absolutely _skyrocket_ after that. You don't need to know anything at all about SAO to enjoy it. Also, SWE contains a good chunk of the TFS crew, so if you want more from them, SAO Abridged is a great place to continue.

Buu Bits would be good because you can get TFS humor on Buu saga, and be able to fill in for the guy who hasn't seen it before. Hellsing Abridged is a top contender for next reaction, as when you mention TFS's best work, everyone says DBZA, but if you ask the cast themselves, they'll say Hellsing Abridged is their Magnum Opus, and i agree, especially in the later episodes (Only 8 so much shorter series)
