I was 14 years old when I watched that video for the first time and it helped me so much and opened my eyes to so many things. I had never heard the term “clinical depression” before then and I was floored to find out what exactly it was and that I had been dealing with it myself for a while. I’m 22 now and have had a very long journey to reach the point of stability I have with my mental health now, and watching this your reaction to this now feels extremely cathartic and reminded me of how far I’ve come. I was tearing up at this.. I can't imagine how Kassie must've felt. I lost a mom and was majorly abused in school and by my dad, I had really bad depression and anxiety. Even though I've went through this everyone's emotions and feelings are different. So I don't know how Kassie is feeling, but I know what grief feels like. And I just wish to give anyone who has lost someone confort. Even though it's impossible when you've lost someone you've loved. It's like there's a hole in your heart, and depression is like a pitch black room and you're trying to search for a light. I head Kassies shaking voice and when she said, "I'll never forget that phone call.." I'll never forget the moment I walked through that door and I just knew. Missing a loved one will never completely go away, sometimes I feel my moms spirit. I love you Kassie 💞. I'm glad I've been able to watch your success on KZbin.

I keep coming back to this video recently because i’m going through a bit of a hard time lately that is very very similar to everything Kassie had to go through, and it makes me feel so comforted seeing that someone as positive and as amazing as her understands and knows what kind of pain I’m currently going through. It gives me hope that no matter what happens to me in the future or no matter how my current situation turns out, I can still come out on top and still be a positive person with a deep love and care for people and for the world. Whenever i’m anxious, I feel an overwhelming feeling of guilt for doing something that distracts me or makes me feel happy, and Gloom’s videos are one of the only things I can spend time on nowadays that don’t make me feel guilty, and I feel incredibly happy whenever she uploads. To Kassie: thank you for taking time out of your day to make some amazing fun content that cheers people up, you’re really an inspiration and I love all of your videos! keep doing what makes you happy because it makes many other people super happy as well, stay strong ❤️

Cassie you are such a beautiful person, and I think that's part of why you're my favorite youtuber, you don't try to hide or portray yourself in a certain way. a lot of people are scared to open up like this to their friends let alone almost 4 million people, I think that says something about how brave you are. I myself suffer from depression and i think that making videos like this is not necessarily to raise awareness but to show people how someone can be at such a low point in their life and come out of it. I know it'll never be completely gone, but sharing this with people might help them too and i think that your sister would be proud of you for that.

I just realized that i had clinical depression after watching this because ik i hace had depression since back when i was younger than 5 but whenever i tell someone about it they just say its a phase or you'll get over it or you're just acting stop being a drama queen or ive felt what you are feeling and im fine now you'll get better. I havent gotten better in the last 10 years and i dont think i will in the next 10 noone wants to listen to what i hsve to say snd no one wants to take me to get help because "i can talk to them" but when i do i just get made fun of
