@@ChaseCarneson and answer on your question ... outro from this song is intro for another song on album ... "good night" ... their debut album as dreacatcher
@ivyshy984 жыл бұрын
the outro leads into their next title track 'good night' chase me was dreamcatcher's re-debut second chance from a more pop oriented group consisting of 5 dreamcatcher members. coming from a very small company, it was very hard for them to stand out even though their pop debut song was arguably better than many debut songs during that period. the company's ceo saw that the members had the ability to pull off any genre so he rolled the dice to rebrand them as dreamcatcher and probably threw every last penny into chase me's production. had they failed, their company might have gone bankrupt since they had no major revenue streams then and even today dreamcatcher is probably their only profitable revenue stream. as with everything dreamcatcher, there's a dual meaning in their name, to offer the members a chance to 'catch' their dreams. dreamcatcher's lyrics also often follow two lines, one tied to the images the mv is telling and the other is that of their own story. many of dreamcatcher's lyrics are often about never giving up, fighting for your dreams, and to stay true to yourself even if the popular trend is otherwise. chase me lyrics can thus be read as them telling the industry they won't be followers and will create their own sound, one that incorporates rock which is not popular in korea. in interviews, they hoped to make rock more popular in their native country but this unpopular divergence had the unexpected consequence of making them extremely popular overseas which provided a lifeline to help them continue. I'm guessing over 90% of dreamcatcher fans are international fans.

You're one of the few reactors I've seen who appreciates the detail in the music. I listen to the instrumental versions of their title tracks a lot to really get the full effect. In any other country in the world their songwriting team (LEEZ and Ollounder) would be famous, but because it's Kpop they remain in the shadows because all attention must be focused on the idols. The end of Chase Me leads into their next comeback song, Good Night, which has it's own album.

At least ATEEZ's popularity is quite rising, plus LEEZ and Ollounder did some song for other artists too (one of them including a female soloist, Younha, that have a collaboration with RM, the leader of BTS). I'm surprised that no one has mentioned this yet. Chase, almost all K-Pop M/V's contain English translations within the CC's. So next time you react to a Dreamcatcher track just switch on the captions! Note: If the captions are "auto-generated" then those are not translations and is just KZbin's general way of captioning. Check what language the captions are in the settings on the videos and if you find one that just says "English" that is it. P.S. Dreamcatcher also puts the names of the singers next to their translated lines so you know what member is singing!

Let's gooo! I'm so hyped for this one! The girl group scene was never the same after this released. Dreamcatcher dodged so much bullshit over the years for being 'different' and that doesn't change the fact their stuff was fire from day one. Western kpop fans lost it when Chase Me dropped. Especially the ones who came from actively listening to j-rock and visual kei. Happy to see it getting some love! Hope you enjoyed it too. 😊😊😊

I'll NEVER STOP PROMOTING their Nightmare arc. That's how good this is. Your buildup before the 1st pre chorus dare I say it Chase sir, echoed probably 99% of all rocker/metalhead InSomnias' 1st impression of Chase Me IN THE EXACT SAME WAY. I know how it feels perfectly; that good shock = large unblinking eyes even larger open mouth when you start to hear the "real" kick drums start, 1st chords downstrokes from the guitars, riffs falling in and the momentum build THEN BOOM the chorus. "Holy fucking shit these girls are really gonna come in like this for real!?" was my wide eyed thought. At the time with 0 clue on what to really expect from their debut song and admittedly with some unhealthy amount of skepticism I really didn't put that high bar of expectation. Tbh I even braced for a watered down cutesy say e.g Doki Doki Morning in fact. Needless to say I was glad to be floored dead wrong and the rest are that proverbial history... We'll look forward to your Good Night reaction next so stay safe, healthy, happy and keep "dreaming" but DON'T SLEEP on Dreamcatcher Chase!

Glad to see you and so many others here loving their debut song on first listen! When this song originally came out in early 2017 it was very under-rated in Korea as not enough Koreans are into rock, sadly. However, this has been slowly changing and it's great that it is getting more appreciation now. :) As you react to more of their title songs in order I hope you'll see the journey they've been taking musically across various genres while still keeping their core rock/metal influenced sound that is very unique within the K-pop industry. (Although a lot of their B-sides tend to be more focused on specific genres rather than blending but they are no less excellent) Next stop is definitely following the lead-in to "Good Night"!

The ending was a hint for their next title song called Good night. If you watch good night, maybe play chase me before again and you'll get the reference at the beginning of good night ^^ And don't know if it is just me watching it on my TV, but could it be that your recorded audio and the song/vid you played had a bigger difference in audio level? Don't know if I make sense, but sometimes had to put up the volume up to understand you but then again had to lower it bc the vid was a lot louder. (but could also be me, don't have the best ears xD) And don't know if you did the research, but this was actually their Debut song as Dreamcatcher. This is the first song they released after rebranding from their previous group called minx and added 2 members. If you want to go in order next one is "good night" , then comes "fly high" , then "what" , then "you and i" and then piri, but if i remember correctly you already did that one ^^ Also later on I would suggest their Japanese songs, they are also bangers. Especially if you like rock/metal you'll probably like endless night and no more.
