Gregor the Overlander by Suzanne Collins. Fantastic series. Or maybe the Cradle series by Will Wight, although I'm not sure how they would do that, considering it's 12 books.

1.) Dan Simmons' HYPERION series (though done as a miniseries would be best, rather than as a single film) 2.) Orson Scott Card's PASTWATCH: THE REDEMPTION OF CHRISTOPHER COLUMBUS (I'd also like to see ENDER'S GAME redone to include SPEAKER FOR THE DEAD) 3.) Allen Steele's COYOTE series

Arthur C. Clarke's "Rendezvous with Rama"... though it appears that this will be Villeneuve's next project after Dune, according to Alcon Entertainment, the production company behind "Blade Runner 2049" and "The Expanse". Morgan Freeman is a big fan of the novel, and acquired the film rights decades ago; his own production company is teaming with Alcon to try and get it finally done.

Austin Butler is going to be amazing as Feyd-Rautha Harkonnen ‼️ So nice to see him stepping into a totally different kind of role. He is a totally incredible method actor ‼️ So totally EXCITED to see this ‼️‼️

The syfy miniseries is really worth watching if you haven't seen it imo. There is just so much more of the story kept from the book. The acting is fantastic, with a good cast, and the sets and costumes are great. The only negatives imo is their cgi was not good. And a lot of the desert filming was done on a sound stage with painted backgrounds, although didn't look bad even though obvious it was a sound stage. Everything else was fantastic. And the follow up miniseries was good too. The follow up covered Messiah and Children of Dune.

Dune is one of the best movoe adaptations I've ever seen. I'm so glad we're getting part 2 already. It looks absolutely gorgeous. This is going to be great.

You have a chance tl catch part 1 in cinemas, preferably IMAX, it's getting re released in February. Anything less than the big screen doesn't do it justice.

I’m so excited for this! I believe this one is going to be better than the first one, it just looks a lot more epic! I’m still reading Dune Messiah right now, and I’m halfway there. 336 pages in this book, three day later, I’m already 160 pages in. I should be finished with it by the end of this week or earlier but I’ve been spending so much of my time reading which is a good thing :)

as far as the budget, it reminds me of Lord of the Rings. PJ filmed 3 movies with the money it takes a Marvel movie to be made now (good or bad). Denis already had the script, some of the sets, and a great deal of props at the ready. so, surprisingly to some (as per Variety), 2 cost several tens of millions less., even though it looks ”bigger” (as it should). Shows you what a director and a vision can do. cannot wait.
