I think the footstool hitbox must be closer on the back, because you can dash up in someone's face, and idj out of turnaround skid to footstool quite easily

I think this is really cool and I'm enjoying the new content it is bringing. But I also think this will finally teach people the importance of parrying short hop aerials. That won't help you in all cases slingshot cases, but it will in a decent amount of them.

At 7:50 if you look at the DI line the lucina is DI'ing straight out trying to DI the weak hit up air so, that just makes the fsmash kill even easier. I doubt it's completely true but it worked like a DI mixup that destroyed them in practice

The Last clip was a good one.. I appreciate the neutrality you have in usage of your own creation. Being able to call out when it's more optimal to go for a normal strat over slingshot is a good mindset to have. You coulda just milked the hell out of hyping your tech and I dont think anyone would have thought anything of it, but you chose to call out the more optimal option regardless. Good on you.

Hey! Appreciate that. At the end of the day, the point of bringing everyone together is to get them to add it to their game for me. I do my best to only try and apply things and new options in ways that bring something new to the table. I always try to consider other options that might be better too. If I had time I likely would have included a counterplay section in my video too but it was already 30 minutes lol

Cloud slingshot fair out of shield isnt even a bad option is the thing. If the wolf did late landing fair into holdshot fair, hed counter the out of shield option and start a combo, whereas slingshot fair by cloud would keep him safe from further pressure really goes to show how much it can add to the shield RPS now

It was actually a normal RAR, btw slingshot is the name GIMR gave to IRAR, but the applications should be to get it in the buffer window of your previous move. IRAR means you get into jump squat the same frame as you have turned around.

I am told there is no such thing as a cross up in smash; cause of the fact that you dont need to hold the opposite direction to defend in this game. I am pretty sure MK11 has a block button, don’t remember if you need to wait to turn or auto turn block.

Every 'reacter' does this when they see combos and they go "you could have just done this" like they forget that they are advancing frame by frame and accounting for light speed reaction time. E.g. The Cloud doesn't know the wolf is gonna shield first and then jump Wolf could have buffered a move or Cloud was likely reading a roll. That's what makes this tech good. It covers many options and allows a safe reset at the very least. The grab or UpB can be risky.

First of all, I created the tech and that's why I'm making react videos for it. Second of all, Wolf's Fair is unsafe on shield to grabs. The Cloud dashed in and shielded to mess up his spacing. It is incredibly easy to react to things like Wolf Fair and shield grab. Especially since he saw the shorthop so he was able to react to Wolf's spacing before the wolf landed so he knew if the Wolf hit his shield he could grab or up-b. Regardless, the Cloud player is practicing Slingshotting so they may have chose to choose the worse option just to continue to put it into their game since it was friendlies.

But I see that Wolf fair is -6 on shield and shield grab would be like frame 10, so I'm assuming grabbing wasn't an option. Up/b though, for sure. But regardless, no. That's what i'm saying. The slingshot option chosen isn't the worse option. It just looks that way in retrospect when frame advancing. The slingshot covers more options and likely opens up more room for followups than the traditional Cloud UpB punish.
