enhypen and txt did a 'legends of kpop' performance together i think last year where they covered a lot of older kpop songs and Fire was the last song they did for the stage! while other songs were performed by just a few members alternatively, they performed all 12 members together for Fire! it was epic!! they also have a behind the stage for the performance where they practice.

Fire waa the first song I heard by BTS 🔥 back in 2018 through my frnds whats app status... I asked for the video..he snt me and I remember asking him who are they.. And he was like.. They are korean singers.. it's a band BTS, he also didn't know much.. The song was trending during those times..i was so sad back then because i thought every boys know them and I am so not gud in these stuffs like knowing big bands etc... Later I googled them.. When BTS recorded DOPE they out sourced recording and production to the1K which is why they have the video without copyright infringment. Also the chorus lyrics for Stray Kids "Social Path" popped in my mind when you mentioned that DOPE lyrics spoke about BTS's peers partying while BTS chose to lose sleep for their dreams, I don't consider myself a stan of Stray Kids but they have good songs and i defientely recommend "Social Path" since it is a song that describes the feelings most if not all idols have surrounding their choice to become idols and sacrifice their youth for their future.

In the early vids its was Jimin but slowly JK got more of these parts and as u watch more everyone on the vocal line can hit highs. JK is center so he gets the most lines and has the most stable voice. Jimin has the highest voice but the others are great too. Though on the recording it maybe Jimin who is singing the high, hmm. The more u hear them the more u will get used to their voices. In Dope Jin was a doc. V was Conan the detective from an anime/manga. Jimin was a businessman to me. As/hleyder/ said on 1/18/21 The Korean word that is translated into "Dope" for the title of this song doesn't really mean "dope" in the way we, as English speakers, would interpret that word. It is a somewhat weak translation that loses a lot of the important double meaning of the Korean word used in my opinion. The word they actually use would be more accurately translated as "sick", a word that has more of a double meaning in English as both something that is really cool ("That's so sick, man!") and also a negative physical experience. The Korean word literally means drenched in sweat or something to that extent (mind you, I am not Korean, I got this from watching a reaction by some older Korean men), but is now used as slang by younger Koreans to mean "awesome". So they are both saying they are really awesome, but they are also saying they are working their butts off. I've noticed in a lot of commentary videos, they often pair Dope and Baepsae together as an example of songs in which they are talking about the struggles of their generation. And the fact that Dope and Baepsae are also the two songs in which they explicitly refer to the "three giving-up generation" and the "five giving-up generation" (in RM's solo) I think that this song while obviously talking about how hard they themselves have worked is also probably a commentary on how hard their generation is having to work. Based on that, I think they are intentionally reflecting various careers to give a nod to all the people who are working really, really hard in their careers while others are out partying. The "we" becomes more collective, then. "Those of us who are working our butts off while everyone else is partying ... we're awesome." So in RM's verse he says (no idea about accuracy of translation, again, not Korean, lol). "Given up on 3? Given up on 5?? I like the number 6. How about giving up on 6?" The older generations in Korea, as well as the Korean media, often refer to millennials as the generation that has given up. It started out as having given up three things, courtship, marriage, and childbirth. Then it advanced to a word that means they'd given up on five things, thereby adding employment and home ownership. Eventually it jumped to seven things when they added that they had given up on relationships and even hope. That's why RM adds in his verse that he'll stop at 6 (after making some weird word play that I don't totally understand that involves beef ...) and then says, "Can I get a little bit of hope?" Basically saying they refuse to give up on everything. Then he calls out the older generations/media for condemning them while they are working so hard and he calls out the millennials for just taking it and tells them to take their energy, they aren't alone, don't give up, take some hope, wake up and go. I've never actually watched an explanation video for Dope, so this is what I've personally pieced together based on explanations I've heard about some of the words/phrases used in the song, so somebody else may know more. But I think people tend to focus on the dancing a lot in this song and disregard the lyrics mostly because there is a lot of meaning lost in translation for this one. Good reaction(Fire), ty. Love this song a lot. So bloody catchy. A hit for sure. A total banger. Soukie said on 2/5/22 Honestly I can't speak for what Suga really wanted the "I'll forgive you" to mean, but since you asked for our interpretation of it I'll share mine ^^ For me the song is about how society makes "rules" and "molds" that make us miserable if we don't follow them. It makes us feel inferior if we can't achieve those standard and question our value when we look at others who actually fit. Hence my interpretation of "burn it up" and "fire": it's like they're encouraging the listeners to just burn that checklist that we use to compare ourselves with to others or determine our value in society. It's almost revolutionary lyrics asking people to rebel against the preconceived ideas of our society and put our happiness first. But if you destroy something usually you get blamed for it. So for me "I'll forgive you" is another part of the encouragement they're giving as though they're saying "Just go for it, do whatever you want to do to be happy, even if others blame you for going against the system or being a rebel, we're on your side, we'll forgive you in their stead." O!RUOT7,2? said on 12/22/22 Fun story from Armys. There was an Army who visited Korea and saw trash burning outside a restaurant. Said Army does not speak Korean at all, but because of this song knew that the Korean word for Fire is: bultaoreune. So to get the attention of the restaurant workers, she kept on pointing and saying Bultaoreune until the restaurant owner saw and put out the fire. 😊 S said on 12/22/22 There was another story where an int'l army was in a Korean restaurant and the food was not heated so she called waiter and asked him to heat the food again but the waiter couldn't understand so she literally sang bultaoreune and then that's when the waiter understood. It's not necessarily that he had a specific image to keep, it's more of a growing up thing. BTS debuted around the time Jungkook finished middle school and started high school (I'm using this wording cause I can't remember whether it was before or after and I don't wanna give wrong info by accident). Even after he grew up it was hard to shake off that "baby" image, especially being the youngest as well. Even now some "fans" still refuse to accept that he's a grown man. But it was hard to fully become comfortable expressing himself and has stated recently that he doesn't like it when people infantilize him. Coming out with songs like this honestly makes us very happy, cause it means he's getting more and more comfortable. He's only 3 months older than me and I still can't fully grasp the fact that I'm an adult, so I can only assume that it's harder for him with the added stress of "fans" who refuse to acknowledge his age and maturity.
