REACTING TO HOME FREE - UNCHAINED MELODY

The Righteous Brothers had a big hit with "Unchained Melody" in 1965. Home Free did such a beautiful rendition of this classic song. The video in prison is very fitting as this song was originally written for the 1955 prison film "Unchained". The film centered on a man who contemplates either escaping from prison to live life on the run or finishing his sentence and returning to his wife & family. The song focuses on someone who pines for a lover he has not seen in a "long, lonely time".

This song was from a 1955 prison film called Unchained. I loved their version. Tim with the warm rich bass and then handing it off to Austin's tenor was amazing. And Adam, Chance and Rob providing the beat boxing and harmonies.... These guys can do no wrong.

Tim did a solo on this song before Austin did his. The original was sang by Todd Duncan. For the 1955 movie unchanined. He performance is on You Tube you should watch it. It makes H F version more understandable if you only know about the ones done after 1965 when the Righteous Brothers recorded their version. They all seem to mimic the R B version rather than the original.

It was written for a prison movie called Unchained in 1955. Loved Tim and Austin’s solos. Loved the black and white film and the typewriter. If you want to hear more Doo Wop from Tim see his solo stuff Do You Still Love Me/Stay and In My Room. They show his tremendous range. Good reaction girls!😃😍

It hurt my heart to see the guys in jail and Adam's black eye, but the gritty vibe of the video served the original theme of the song perfectly. This is now my favorite version of this beautiful song. Home Free sprinkled their magic over this song and elevated it to gold standard. They are in jail for killing this song and stealing so many hearts.

I love your reactions and would love to see some more with a couple new artists that are other worldly. Diana Ankudinova; start with Rechenka, and then Human, and Wicked Game. Mind-blowing. And Dimash Kudaibergen; SOS(do the contest version), and Stranger(an original). Start with Dimash, that should blow your mind. Generally considered the best vocalist in the world… I'm a Home Fry; I wouldn't steer you wrong.

Home Free and their harmonies!! Such powerful visuals and a remarkable version of the song ❤️ I know it hearkens back to the mid-century movie and they portray it spectacularly, but I do hate seeing our guys behind bars. 😕 However, they can definitely "emote" through their music/videos better than just about anyone else out there!! ❤️🎼🥰🎶❤️
