What I like about SNSD's solo stuff/songs is that you can see their differences, their strength and weaknesses and more chances of showing their hidden talents. Just like Hyoyeon, through the years of SNSD's career, she have to adjust to SNSD's cute concept sometimes, it's not her style but since she's the dancing machine/queen, she was able to manage it. I don't know with other people but to be honest, Girls' Generation is more than just being a legendary girl group, all of the members almost excel in everything, singing, acting, theater, dancing and the maknae line all have college degree. Call me OA but SNSD just set the standard so high for girl groups. They are the textbook. They paved the way for girl groups when the Kpop industry was being dominated by boy groups, one of the reasons why people call them "The Legendary SNSD". I think I talked too much now. I'm sorry, I'm just really proud of my women. Anyway, thank you for this reaction Sir Austin. Hoping for more SNSD content in the coming days. I'm sorry if you think I'm being demanding, I just really love watching your reactions to SNSD and also, I'm so excited to your journey as a baby sone. 💕

The English version of Sober and Dessert have done really well in 2020 though. I adore Hyo but the way she was positioned in the group, it was surprising to see her even debut solo at all. Seeing her defy all odds and expectations and be doing so well while obviously enjoying herself is honestly amazing. I love that for her.

Hyo is her DJ name while Hyoyeon is her stage name. She mentioned before that DJ HYO don't perform on music show hence there's not much promotion while her stage name Hyoyeon promotes on music shows. Her DJ music is very clubbish song so Korean don't really fancy those type of music cause they love cute songs and that's why she's very famous overseas. She has English version of her songs (except for Dessert) because she is learning English and wanted to relate with her overseas fans. Plus if I'm not wrong she also state that she is creating an album and wanna try ballad next. She's my bias since 2007 and will forever be.

I really love Sober! 💜 I’m glad you had fun watching Hyoyeon’s solo. She originally debuted solo as Hyoyeon but in the later decided to debut as DJHYO as she learned how to DJ. 💜 She actually DJs! Hey! For your next throwback Thursday I think you should react to the girl group SPICA. They debuted in 2012 and while now the vocal powerhouses of this generation are Red Velvet and Mamamoo, SPICA had the best vocals of really any Kpop group. All of their members could be main vocals (their weakest vocalist was supposed to be the main vocalist of another group) The members are: Boa- Leader, Main vocalist. She used to be a vocal trainer for other groups and her and Bohyung (another member) have a duo together now called Keembo Sihyun- Main rapper, vocalist, oldest Narae- Lead vocalist, visual. She was a participant on the 1st season of the audition program Superstar K where she placed 8th Jiwon- Vocalist, Visual, Main dancer. She was supposed to be the main vocalist of girl group T-ARA ( 2nd gen girl legendary girl group) but she left cuz the music didn’t match what she wanted to do. After SPICA’s disbandment, she went on the idol rebranding show The Unit (a show for older idols who still aren’t very popular) she made it into the final lineup for the group that the show debuted (UNI.T) and she was a lead vocalist in that group Bohyung- Main vocalist, maknae. She was in the original lineup for 2NE1 and was supposed to be the main vocal of the group while Park Bom was originally supposed to debut as a soloist. She is now a part of the duo Keembo with member Boa. The SPICA songs I think you should react to are “Painkiller”, “Tonight” and “You Don’t Love Me” SPICA got a lot of of help from the legendary Lee Hyori. Lee Hyori was a member of the iconic 1st generation girl group Fin.K.L which was under DSP and was one of the first Kpop groups and they were head to head with the group S.E.S (1st generation girl group under SM and the very first girl group that SM ever debuted)

ahh finally hyo solos! ty for the reaction as always! It's so fun to see u getting to know the girls, and solos is defintely a good way to do it bc they all show different sides in their solos than they did in the group! Also, Hyo had such an amazing 2020, with Dessert doing duper well, and Sober Eng. Version getting an insane number of views for a 2 yr old song.. YEEESSSS! Hyo is my favorite SNSD soloist too! Bops only in Hyo-land! She's a professional DJ too so that's why she tends to do club-esque songs. I've never been to a Korean club but I've read that her songs get played a lot in clubs there. I will say that the Korean and English version of Sober have different meanings so it's nice to check out both. Hopefully you can react to more of her stuff soon!

Sober actually blew up in the US for some reason. I honestly wish SM debuted her here along with SuperM, because she's definitely not getting the recognition she deserves in Korea as her style/sound/concepts have a more (for lack of a better word) "Western" feel to them.
