You have a great eye for details. Jimin is a great dancer and wanted to dance on the streets like in those old musicals. He came up with a lot of the choreo. You are the only reactor who noticed that one part just before the cart passes by on fire. I immediately thought of MJ when Jimin did it. Jimin was, of course, influenced by MJ, and you can see it in so much of BTS 's choreo. Happy you also like to look and disect the lyrics. No one can repeat Jimin 's choreography in Korea, and vocals too, Before BTS Jimin graduated from the Academy of Arts and was the Best student, now Jimin is serving in the Army, he well demobilized in the summer of 2025 years.

He was listed as one of the top students, and I think he finished his high school years in Seoul because he went for training in 2012, when he was 17. He and Taehyung attended together the last year.

@@mplahke He was top student and valedictorian of his class at Busan Art school. and yes, he moved to Seoul May 2012, made the final cut for BTS end of that year and was announced Jan 2013 as a member. He and Tae attended high school (Korean Arts High School) together for the last 2 years. They graduated from that school in 2014. Jimin was 16 when he moved to Seoul (turned 17 later that year in October/5 months later). He as 17 at depute (turning 18yo 4 months later)

I'm not trying to diminish Jimin's record, just worried that if folks brag beyond his actual record then we look bad. It's like those fans who assert that V has the lowest voice in kpop when Felix exists.

This music video was filmed in Hungary. BTS and the members try to do as many practical effects as possible for music videos (there are a few acceptations, like the MV "Idol" which was full of CG on purpose). Jimin went to an arts high school and was the top student in the contemporary dance program. He has been awarded multiple dance awards including one for a traditional style fan dance he did at an awards show. Almost every MV they have, there is a behind the scenes video for how it was shot, if you're interested in watching those.

Jimin is my favorite BTS, for his talent (great dancer, unique tone of voice), his beauty and personality. A great human being (just like everyone in BTS). ❣Jimin, growing up, since quite young age, even pre mid school, was always into hip hop & r&b music. Aside from Rain, Taeyang, & BoA, Korean idols, known not just for amazing vocals, but their dance ability, Jimin was also heavily influenced, with other role models, such as Chris Brown, & Usher. So it goes to follow he’d also appreciate other equally well known artists who also were amazing dancers & performers aside from vocal ability. It also goes without saying that Jimin, was indeed heavily influenced by MJ. He even taught Jin to moon dance for Dynamite MV, also Jimin was the one that suggested other MJ moves also for BTS song “Dynamite”. Chris Brown’s choreographer Brian Puspos who Jimin is actually close friend with, both having a mutual love admiration & respect for was the one that did the choreography for “Serendipity”. He even said that Jimin dances his choreo better then he does himself! Jimin has also worked with Puspos who restaged not only a Chris Brown song for Jimin before, but also Drake’s “Own It”. Jimin already at early age of 10, started studying hip hop at the renowned Just Dance Academy, in Busan, city where Jimin’s from, which teaches all the many different styles of hip hop. There is even a post made that shows a performance where young again 11 Jimin in 2007, not only performed already, on right front side of stage, but later on went in front and did a solo. JIMIN also competed, excelling in popping, & isolation moves, winning every competition. JIMIN also since a little boy, trained 8 yrs in various forms of martial arts: Taekwondo (blackbelt), Hapkido, Kendo, & Chinese martial arts. Jimin started at such a young age and trained for 8 yrs various forms of martial arts, even saying, as a young boy, that he wanted to be the best swordsman in the world, so he took up Kendo after watching the anime 'One Piece' and wanting to be like his fav character Zoro.. Even when he was a little boy, whatever Jimin did he had to do it to perfection! He even won many competitions and awards for being best, when it came to competing in martial arts as well! Side Note: When learning Taekwondo, as a little boy, I believe Jimin said that doing the splits was one of the first things required to be able to do. Also did same for contemporary dance. He said that he'd put his legs split, up against the wall for quite long, hrs at a time. This was aside from still attending middle school Jimin, where he was already into all kinds of sports, including & excelling in soccer, being part of soccer team,, but also great at basketball, even joined after school billiards, also excellent at track & field throughout his schooling. Then, while going to Busan Highschool of the Arts, he then also studied & performed contemporary. Media even called Jimin “The rising star of Busan” after seeing Jimin perform on stage during a huge festival. JIMIN also studied, some ballet as well as even traditional Korean dance. But Jimin’s main love was always hip hop. Though he did enjoy dancing contemporary, which Jimin indeed excels at, to this day all his dance movements, have his exquisite body placement, amazing elegant, poised, clean lines, as well as he also always stands, even without dancing, with out-turned feet, his foot positions always end up while dancing in classical out turned foot position, placement that classically trained dancers have, with extensions all the way to his fingertips, even incorporating his eyes, & facial expressions! Jimin found he could express himself even more through contemporary dance. Very few dancers have the ability to dance as many styles of dance as well as have the ability to incorporate all of them, even his gravity defying, martial arts, moves in his dance. Jimin even had an offer to dance overseas, but wanted to sing (something he also loved since 2nd grade), and become an idol so he could do both, to the dismay of one of his dance instructors, who said “The would of dance was going to lose a great artists”! There’s a reason Jimin was not only give the official title of Main Dancer & Lead Vocalist, but has been awarded the prestigious titles for 5 yrs In a row, Best Dancer in Kpop, as well as 6 yrs King of Kpop. Jimin is called Stage Commander for a reason, his stage presence is on another level. Jimin is also called “Rookies Bible” because all rookies look up to him, watching his erformances. over & over, trying to emulate, & learn from his unmatchable, flawless, precise moves. So many trainees & rookies choose his songs to try to copy when competing, though even without singing, but just focusing on dance, always still fail to even come close, ‍ 👍❤‍🔥🔥👑🥇🤩😍🤩✨💫

Jimin's a contemporary dancer (that's based in Ballet) but he's also at a the same time studied Hip Hop dance and took part in dance battles. He also used some of this martial arts training in his dancing. He also does does traditional Korean dance but a 7 of them do a bit of that as well which they'll add to some of their dance. Jimin does traditional Fan Dance which is unusual as it's normally performed by ladies.

Those are lyrics from his Song 'Closer than this' which is a song to the fan base 'ARMY' and to also to his bandmate's talking about the relationship and that fact they all have to leave ARMY for a period of time in order to do their military service but promising they'll be back when the military duties are completed and we'll all be back together again. They've all did a lot of extra work before entering their military service which they've got their company to release to us a bit at a time before they return. As they are not allowed by law to take time off from military duties to 'work' and that also includes promote anything they've pre recorded. There are clue's in Jimin's MV hidden referencing things like his fellow band members and lyric's from songs.

✨The difference with Jimin, aside from certain other members of BTS who also do so, is that he writes his own lyrics, composes, & involved with producing all his songs, which sets him apart, from many other artists, who are given the already created song, to do the vocals & perform. As well as even legendary famous artists from now & in past who have indeed written or produced songs, but not all the other things Jimin has also been hands on with, like even creating his own choreography for “Who”’, as well as so much more behind the scenes! This is aside from Jimin’s spectacular breathtaking vocal abilities, & equally on another level, mesmerizingly stunning dancing, Jimin also, unlike other artists, even created his own choreography! Jimin is credited to have written lyrics & composed 6/7 songs from his 2nd, already successful, record breaking album MUSE, which indeed he also did for his equally successful, still charting 1st album FACE. Jimin is also credited with producing some of his songs. Like his song “Rebirth” that he’s so impressively also credited as lyricist & composer, aside from having credit as one of the producers. Jimin is credited producing, with the exception of a couple of songs. Even on Jimin’s previous FACE album, though Jimin wasn’t credited producing, aside from Jimin composing most melodies, & pretty much writing all the lyrics, he indeed was involved, participating, as shown in Jimin’s FACE production documentary. Even though not credited for song “Who” from his MUSE album, Jimin is always hands on, coming up with the concept of the song, what he wanted the lyrics to be about & mean. The concept, storyline & look & feel of MV was also Jimin’s vision, his idea. Jimin even was the one who did the choreography! “Who”, is the title track which indeed MV of which does always get released the same time as album officially drops! The look of the MV, the concept, as well as the staging & placement of the dancing in the MV, as well as the filming Jimin also oversaw! It’s amazing the so many things Jimin worked on, so many places Jimin went, all that he did non stop, including filming in the abandoned unused resort in Korea, where the Jimmy Fallon Tonight show performance, was filmed, that closed in 2022, that had housed now abandoned swimming pools, not in use anymore. Which is where Jimin went to film the live performance. Jimin’s vocals live, which you can tell, are always even more amazing, since still able to do so with all that equally amazing dancing such with such strenuous choreo. As well as equally amazing during the Live Clip for both his songs from his Muse Album “Rebirth “ as well as “Slow Dance”. JIMIN also flew to Hungary, only for a couple of days just to film the “Who” MV, which he also created and oversaw the choreography for, all , more recently, just months before going into the military, end of last yr. and nobody new about it, all for around a couple of yrs. Only time we all heard anything is when ppl he worked with, like the famous producers in LA as well as in NY, posted photos or just comments praising Jimin, while working alongside of him, mentioning as well being so excited about the project they were working on. Not to mention just how diverse, all the different genres , styles of music, like “Be Mine” with amazing, ever so seductive, tantalizing, Afro beat, with Latin feel mixed in! Or “Rebirth”which is R&B, with gospel feel, along with choir in background. There were even when backup dancers posted things that ppl found, saw, so word somewhat got out. But yet, when finally FACE album came out, even then not a one of those producers were involved with any of those songs in FACE. Now we all know that it was for Jimin’s second album MUSE, all those songs, that all those producers were excited about & referring to. But who would have thought that Jimin was already working on second album as well way back then in 2022. Jimin so impressively & amazingly crammed so much in, trying to get as much content out, all before he left for the military the end of last yr! Sofia Carson was even flown in secretly to Seoul, S. Korea 🇰🇷, to film the Live Clip “Slow Dance” performance but that was also kept a secret til now! Writing lyrics, composing melodies, producing many songs, but if not credited always still participating, also coming up with concepts ideas, for look of MV’s as well as overseeing the filming & directing as well! Jimin even created the choreography for his song “Who”. Jimin also is involved in design of album covers, and choosing concept & look during photoshoots! To work on creating all this music, all this content non stop for almost a couple yrs is beyond mind boggling to think about! I love your familiarity with MJ dance style! My take on MJ was that his steps always ended in a very cool pose. He was the master of poses. Jimin and all the BTS members are very influenced by MJ. Prince and Janet have acknowledged this and have spoken of them very positively.

Jimin's last album, Face, was about finding his way out of pandemic depression. In thi album, Muse, he is looking for his creative spirit again. He recorded them nearly back to back. BTS's music almost always has a meaning beneath the meaning, so a lot of people just take the surface while others have dug a little deeper. Muse spent a couple of weeks as #2 hot 100, and more on the global charts. It was filmed on a set in Hungary, most words you see (like on the marquee) are lyrics from other songs or in reference to someone.

The other six men behind him are backup dancers, but they are meant to represent his six bandmates. Most of the other members have given nods to their BTS brothers in some way in one or more of their solo MVs. They are very supportive of each other.

If you want terminology for BTS as a group, they are a HIP HOP IDOL group from South Korea. Over the years they have incorporated more genre's into their sound, but at their core, they are HIP HOP. They are not afraid to try new genre's or to talk about their thoughts and their journey in their music, and other taboo subjects like mental health, societal expectations, and social justice. In every solo project, if you see them with other dancers, it's always backup dancers. They tend to like keeping it to seven. Because that is the number in their group. but there are no BTS members that act as backup dancers in solo projects. They do on occasion do a OT7 solo song performance at a concert, but each member will take a verse, not act as just backup dancers. Or one or two members might do a cameo in a solo project video.

In the songs and MVs of BTS and members there are always many connections with other songs, etc. In this MV there are references to songs from the MUSE album, such as "Closer than this", "Slow dance"... the tornado of love at the beginning of the video... the search he makes for his great love: I think it's within the his heart, as he goes around looking for him and ends up spending another night alone, the city continuing in peace! The flower in this album's logo is the “Flor Smeraldo” which appears at the end, next to “Who”. To understand this you need to listen to the song “The Untold Truth” (lyrics by RM and others), based on the Italian book “Lá Città Di Smeraldo”. It talks about the regret of not having experienced a great love, for futile reasons (in this case, appearance), of the shame of declaring a passion.

No this is a solo project. From the begining BTS has had solo songs. Because they all had to enlist as they aged into the army they concentrating on solo albums during the time all 7 could not perform. All were hugely successful individually because they are each world class. Jin the first to enlist had a huge success with his singleTHE ASTRONAUT. His goodbye to ARMY( the fandom)They declared a hiatus and each member worked harder than active artists making ready the work that would be released when they were in the army. Which considering most had little promotion have been extraordinarily successful. Their very distinct tastes in music though they all do genre mixing are the reason BTS covers so many genre. As a rule uou can never look too deeply into BTS songs videos.... yhe exception being yhe happy pop songs ghey put out during covid to cheer everybody up.
