Idk...the whole "how you get him is how you'll lose him" thing doesn't sit well with me. I think it low-key puts the blame primarily on the woman in question and glosses over the man's crappy behavior. These girls keep "losing" Jason because he's an emotionally unavailable addict who doesn't respect them. I do think Alex was naive to think things would be different with her, but I don't think her being mistreated by Jason is penance for her not really caring about his 8-week relationship with Jessica.

I mean most relationships that start as cheating end with cheating but otherwise I think it is important to not blame one person, usually the woman, for fault on both sides and in this cases it is blatantly obvious Jason was gaslighting and manipulating the girls to go 'crazy' over him. Tim’s narration of the psychology behind Alex’s behavior at the bonfire was SO spot on. She definitely intended not to kiss Jason in front of Jessica but felt anxious and needy after she caught him being sketchy. Jason was so entitled and toxic in these, I’m glad it’s on film for those girls to look back and reflect on/feel validated that they were being gaslit.

I still don’t understand why those girls directed all of their energy and anger into fighting with each other instead of directing some of that anger towards Jason. The only person who did was Kristin! She told it how it was and scolded Jessica for making those bad decisions holding her accountable for her actions but still putting most of that blame where it belonged…on Jason. However I do want to say Jason turned out to be such an amazing person overcoming so much and inspiring and giving back is truly incredible!

The real story on this episode is that Talan had a secret party at his house and didn’t tell production. The phone call/text that Alex received at dinner was Cami at the party telling her that Jason & Jessica hooked up at the party. Cami walked in on them and caught Jessica giving Jason oral. That’s why Kristin and Alex H. were like “wow Jessica is dumb” at dinner because they were so tired of telling Jessica the same thing and Jason using her, hence the conversation at the end with Kristin telling Jessica to stop talking to Jason. So this episode and the next few are production trying to reenact conversations/reactions of what happened at Talan’s party.

In the next episode (Cabo) the morning after Alex screams at Jessica, Kristin kind of sticks up for Jess at breakfast. She does tell Alex that for Jessica, it was weird for Alex to date Jason because she thought they were friends. I feel like they were mad at Jessica in their own way.Their frustration came from Jessica not listening to them when they told her to leave him alone but she didn’t listen. Jessica did bring that drama upon herself and I think they thought it would be best to let her deal with the aftermath because they already did their part

I really like Kristin in episodes like this one when she’s direct and a good friend. I also like the fact that the two Alex’s were able to bring the group together. I never really had a strong opinion towards Alex M, but she didn’t deserve that from Jason and Jessica, even after her little bit of “shadiness” at the bonfire and the whole, I won’t kiss him out of respect, but then was all over Jason. Side note, Alex M. and Alex H. are very good friends to this day.

Kristin gives advice to her friends about their bad boyfriends: “she’s being a good friend” Lauren does the same thing: “she needs to mind her own business” 🤨🤔😂 I definitely agree with what Kristin was saying, but she needed to read Jessica’s responses. A) Jess didn’t want to have that conversation on camera & b) she needed to learn the hard way on her own. She wasn’t going to listen to anyone because she liked Jason too much and was sucked into his whole situation. If she didn’t listen to the 12959375 conversations they’d all had with her before, this one wasn’t going to work either lol.

I love these reaction videos, I’ve been watching them since they started with “The City” during the beginning of the lockdown, but I’ve never understood why they dislike and give Lauren such a hard time. Everything she says or does is criticized, and it’s even obvious through their facial expressions and body language.

Lauren is obsessive, controlling and jealous though. She wants her friends to only do what she says and that’s it. Kristin was basically like Jess get it together, stop letting Jason make you look stupid, etc…Kristin was a player and had the boys wrapped around her finger, Lauren was stupid and got played constantly on tv.

Imagine being filmed at that age. I just can't imagine. I got a video camera when I was 15 and I am 38 now. I would take that thing everywhere and can't believe the stuff I recorded. But those tapes are long gone now(well I hope😬). But to be filmed on TV and to have to watch yourself being a teenager would be so embarrassing. I give it up to you Whitney. You were always classy and I respect you for the way you have always held yourself. I wonder how Jessica is doing now. I hope she found confidence because she is absolutely beautiful and super fun. I’m sorry, I don’t fault Jessica for hooking up with Jason. The whole season displayed Alex being sneaky and obviously plotting on Jason while he was with Jessica, but now because he’s Alex’s boyfriend Alex demands the respect she didn’t give to Jessica?
