people will be confused about Malaysia and Indonesia because the national language of these two countries is the same which is Malay, but this song is from Malaysia

At first, I thought the original song might be in Indonesian based on the sound of it. And when Jay said "apa kabar," it unfortunately cemented my WRONG belief that the song was in Indonesian because "apa kabar" is one of the only Indonesian phrases I am familiar with. Little did I know that the phrase also means "how are you" in Malay🤣😭 I saw Jay reference Johor Bahru while I was editing this video and that was definitely a face-palm moment because I know Johor Bahru is in Malaysia but I didn't see the lyric while I was filming this video. Ahhh🤣 Then, I looked up ForceParkBois and, yup, they're a Malaysian rap crew. Thank you so much for explaining this to me because I always want to learn!! Sending love💓

Chorus Translation. (Malay) It's not the clothes for display so u can't try, There's no cliche song to make you high, There's so much problem but there have an exit, Keep the secret thing in your pocket, No stress no stress, we fly together, Please say hi if you meet Maria, The things have past, we can say goodbye, It's like wear clothes distress but it's still style, no stress no stress

I can definitely agree with what you say about Woodie, as I'd say I'm not his biggest fan either. However some of the times (happened in how we rock, the purge and on this song honestly), his part just kinda grows on me. On this song, personally, I'd highlight Park Hyeon Jin and Trade L. I also enjoyed very much how they gave Jay B the finishing verse of the song, i think he ended up standing out because of it. Loved the reaction, will definitely follow for more :)

I do feel you about H1GHR/Jay Park music. I love their music but sometimes they do make a song that controversial or sensitive. I'm a Muslim and Jay Park does have a song that is sensitive for Muslim people and sometimes make me uncomfortable to support his music. But some other artists like pH-1 and Big Na their songs as what I listen to don't have too many curse words or sensitive lyrics.

PH-1 vocab & rhyme is so flowy .. Trade L is soaring now.. his flow is fireeee , Woogie Gochild is saucy for me as always…so proud of Jay B honeylike voice here good for ending this song.. then you can hear jay park rap in low whisper style in malay.. thanks for the edit .. yes our language is kinda same.. no problem if you thought it’s Indonesian language coz we are neighbors tho..atleast you know how to differentiate other language. That's issue of a first time reaction for sure. I clicked on this song thinking that it would be like "How We Rock" or "The Purge" but boyyyy was I wrong. I did try to look up the lyrics at the end but I couldn't find them unfortunately. Luckily I have the English translation now and can see that connection!!🤣🤣 I realized I was missing something at 5:51

The song is originally from Malaysian artists ( they kept the original chorus here that is malay). This is here a Korean remix. Jay park who is the CEO of his own labels commented under the original song a couple of months ago something like should we remix it ? And then they dropped this. He put it only on KZbin and sadly not on any plate forms because they just did the remix out of love. You heard a lot of English because h1ghr music signed also Korean Americans so that’s why some spit in English and some totally in Korean. There’s also both rappers and singers signed to the label. You definitely should dig up in more Korean rap and H1Ghr music artists. Each one of them hopping on this song are super dope artists and have solo work. btw you should really turn on the subtitle bcs there is translation in english when they sang in korean.

I also do not care for autotune, if it's used in moderation it's okay, I don't really find that H1ghr Music artists release controversial music, Jay Park has, he needs to be educated more on certain topics but he's learning, the hard way, I can't think of any music the other artists on the label have released that was controversial. I really like hiw Jay Park incorporates the language of whatever country the artist is from that he is featuring or collabing with into the songs he does with them whether it's Malaysian for this song, Spanish for his song with Mozart La Para, Japanese for his song with Miyachi or Chinese with the Higher Brothers
@JTPyrus
@JTPyrus 2 жыл бұрын
what was Jay park's most controversial episode? What did he get into? What topics do you think he needs more education about? Just curious, not arguing
@nancygamble4558
@nancygamble4558 2 жыл бұрын
@@JTPyrus he had 3 incidences that I consider controversial and for me it's not really the incidences themselves that were controversial but his response to the incidences, 2 were regarding to cultural appropriation and 1 was regarding the Muslim religion. The first incidence in regards to cultural appropriation was when he was defending a Russian artist that is signed to his H1ghr Music label the artist has dreads and people were calling him out for cultural appropriation, Jay came to his defense in a poorly worded post that included a bad analogy, but what added fuel to the fire was his apology which was very defensive and also not worded well, people started calling him racist some of his fans stop following him, he posted a second apology but the damage was done that was I think in 2018. Earlier this year he came under fire when he featured on a remix of a Kniphop artists song and one of his lines was, worship me like Buddha, and rightfully so the Muslim community was angered again he posted a defensive apology and had to post another, shortly after that incident he came under fire for cultural appropriation again because of an mv he released were he and other Khiphop artists were wearing braids, although both Khiphop and Kpop artist continually come under fire for that issue, again his response was defensive. These controversies can be googled for more detail. I'm a big fan of Jay Park and I absolutely do not believe he is racist or misogynistic or homophobic all things he has been called. I think Jay Park needs to stop and think before he posts a response/apology, hopefully he won't need to apologize for things like this anymore. He loves hiphop and he loves the hiphop culture so for him and many Korean artists wearing braids and urban clothing is just their way of expressing their love for the culture, he's always saying that he thinks it's beautiful when races share culture as long as it's respectful but, ( here's where the education comes In) he needs to realize that not everyone feels the same as he does, while he may feel emulating hiphop culture is showing love for the culture others may feel it's disrespectful and he needs to listen to both sides of the issue, learn from it and apply it. I'm not saying he should stop doing hiphop and most people don't think that either but it's at the very least things like wearing braids or durags that he should stop doing because it's offensive to some people and some of his fans as well and it's not just Jay Park its alot of Khiphop and Kpop artists, I think they all need to educate themselves more on the history of racism and black culture. I love listening to Jay rap and sing he just needs to educate himself a little more about the culture. Since I don't know him personally I can only go by what I know about him from being a fan and for what people who do know him say and I genuinely feel he is a kind, generous person who would do anything for anybody, I truly believe he would give a person his last dollar without hesitation or regret. He doesn't care who you are, what race, ethnicity, or what gender you identify as, he just wants, as he always says, people to be kind to one another

hi, i dont know that u will accept my comment. and this is comment section so i guess i can comment what i feel and felt. Your reaction is too bias, and more into vocals type, this is rap hiphop genre brah. it is rap modern culture in using auto tune. But those rappers use it not to tune up their pitches because of they cannot meet those pitches, but they manipulated it and came out with rare things and arts. I think u shud use appreciation words after turned down those arts. Rap is not same like vocally total song. I hope i will be more neutral when react in future. Pls dont mind my bad english, cuz i dont care.

Hi! I am glad to hear your thoughts and I respect you. I simply expressed my personal tastes during my reaction. I have listened to rap music from around the world for many years so please know that I am not forming my opinions in this video based on nothing. And these are just my opinions. You have every right to disagree with me. I understand that rappers using autotune are doing it for artistic purposes. But, in my personal opinion, I like rap songs that use it in moderation. I do not think that autotune always makes voices rare and special. Instead, I often find that many rappers using a lot of autotune override the unique qualities of their voices and sound similar. Maybe this is an unpopular opinion of mine ;) I like to hear the unique tone of rappers. That is why I like JMin's verse a lot on this track because it showcases his unique tone while using only a slight amount of autotune. I also tend to focus on how artists use the tone of their voice, cadence, and lyrics to display their message. This is just my personal preference which I hope you can respect as well. I also understand that a lot of modern rappers use autotune. I’ve heard it many times. However, I would say that rappers like Woodie Go fall into a certain section of modern rap. Not all modern rappers use autotune like he does and they are still trendy. I know of many popular rappers such as Drake and Tyler the Creator who do not use very much autotune. I actually do listen to a lot of rap. It is my third favorite genre after Afrobeat and R&B. Some of my favorite songs at the moment are "No Idea" by Don Toliver, “Areyoudown?" by Saba Pivot, “Wasyaname” by Tyler the Creator, and "Open Letter" by Verbal Jint. Maybe you can check these out if you want to better understand my rap preferences. What are your favorite rap songs? I’ll give them a listen.
