REACTING TO MÅNESKIN - “KISS THIS” ON X FACTOR ITALY [Eurovision 2021 Winners]

Hi everyone and welcome back to my channel! If you’re new here, my names Rachel and I’m a huge Eurovision fan. Today, I reacted at the suggestion of some of you in the comments, to Måneskin’s cover of ‘Kiss This’ by The Struts, which they performed on X Factor Italy in 2017. I love his confidence and how comfortable he is playing with gender and sexuality. I also really appreciate that Victoria isn't automatically thrust into a sexualised role as the only girl in the band. Dont get me wrong, the whole band are sexy and Victoria can and does dress 'sexy' when she wants to but It's so refreshing to see a man do this.

@Ch Erry I actually have. I just mean that Damiano is kind of considered the 'sexy' one for many of the songs, it's not always Victoria and they kind of intercut between her and Damiano in drag in Morirò da Re so it balances out

I have been waiting for a React video on this performance 😂 Your face and reaction when the camera moved up from the legs and you realised who the "stripper" was, is hilarious and genuine, and exactly why people watch React videos. 😂 His charisma and confidence at mere 18 is mindboggling. Such an incredible stage presence. And his vocal control while pole dancing is incredible. One of my all time fav TV performances of any artist ever.

I still remember the first time I saw this performance! I love Maneskin 😍 That time at X factor they arrived at the 2th place and it was so unfair. However it’s great to see that now they are so famous and they deserve it ❤️

I think that the real point here is not how Damiano is confident and openminded etc... yes, of course his personality is bigger than Alaska... but the real incredible thing here is how perfect his vocal performance was... while pole-dancing.... man.... if I try doing that withouth singing I wil definitely be short of breath..... and furthermore he was doing it in front of a live crowd.... and in front of milions of people whatching TV.... and furthermore he was only 18 yo!!!! Come on... this is just insane. If you see the top pop starlette singing live while doing a ballet... generally their vocals are very very modest.... This guy's vocals were like a studio version... The amount of talent that Damiano has... it's just immense!

Why are you so shy and scandalized???😁 Damiano is so confident in his manhood and masculinity that he doesn't need to play a specific role, he can joke with himself without damaging his identity. And he does it in a way that is so sweet and charming that it makes all people who see him feel good and confident too

@@ThePeaceAround what does "British" mean? Every time I went to London or England in general I had the most shocking experience especially with English girls in pubs and on the streets. The same with English girls in Rome, Milan or Florence. They seem extremely sexually open. In Italy the "english girl" is usually considered a very sexually active and experienced one, very loud, funny and cheerful. I'm asking because our concepts of British seems quite opposite...

In Italy, we believe that the British do not judge and are not surprised by anything, that a person can turn naked without being noticed, instead it is beautiful to see your reactions and your embarrassment, you are splendid

Her family (or part of) is from Malta, most of the Maltese are devout Catholics and rather prudish as well. My Maltese girlfriend told me that not so long ago families in Malta used to hang a soiled sheet the morning after the wedding night as proof that the bride was a virgin to the altar.

Best reaction I've seen yet! 😂😂 Their other performances on X-factor are amazing, but not on this level, if you know what I mean 😂 They auditioned with an original song "Chosen" and I really love the version of Beggin' they did. Damiano can do it all. He was born to be on stage. Such star quality and so young, it's rare and really impressive!

Hey, thanks for the videos and greetings from Italy. I remember very well their partecipation at X-Factor on that year. Their coach was Manuel Agnelli (one of the most important representative of italian underground rock) and they immediately stunned everyone for their presence on the stage, their new song (they brought it on the auditions) and Damiano's charisma. But though people from home and critics appreciated them from the beginning, for half of X-Factor they just went on with good cover performances until....THIS ONE (which occurred 2/3 episodes from the final). Here they rocked, they convinced everyone, all of us knew we were watching something really unique. Eventually they arrived second in the final but no one remembers the winner while Maneskin still had success and brought their own music to italian stages until Sanremo festival and Eurovision on this year

Sweetest Rachel..he did it 4 years ago and moreover the tattoo on the "bumbum" (a sweet way Brazilians use to call that part that usually "the sun doesn't warm") is a REAL tattoo ! You're so young but I remember my first time in London in the '70s (I was 16 at that time). I assisted the musicals "Hair" and "The Rocky Horror Picture Show" (Tim Curry started to be Dr. Frank-N-Furter at 27 years)...and considering that almost 50 years passed since than I can assure that those 2 shows were truly more outregeous than this. Damiano is fantastic and Maneskin are so good in every performance ! "O Tempora o mores". Big hug from Rome.😃

In terms of recommendations just go with view count and work your way down you can't go wrong with that, they have some incredibly good stuff out there. I understand why this one “KISS THIS” was recommended to you and why but that is not Maneskin not musically anyway. When you do you’ll realise they could have won Eurovision with any of their songs and by a much larger margin with some of them. They are incredibly good!

Hi Rachel thanks for your nice reaction videos! I also am a great Maneskin fan and the only suggestion I could give you is to have a read to translated lyrics because otherwise you honestly miss out a lot! (although the translations you see on some videos aren't always very accurate! I'm originally italian and live in an english speaking country so I can luckily appreciate the lyrics in both languages!)
