There are so many masters when it comes to 2nd Gen ...Sistar was , they were beautiful, but as on right now, 3d Gen, Mamamoo are definitely the most vocally talented group out there in termes of technic , versatility, musicality, live performance, everything , at least when it comes to female groups , cause I would not compare female voices to male ones , the actually do work different and there are some damn good male vocalists ( and girl vocalists ) at the same level as Mamamoo ! During colonization the Japanese goverment tried to wipe korean culture to asimilate the colony, so some korean letters vocabulary and in general culture were lost to a degree. So for a while now the goverment has been trying to encourage bringing back sort of lost native korean words that were replaced by japanese words in general public's vocabulary.

You got your kpop girl groups and then there's Mamamoo, who are doing their own thing on a whole nother level altogether. I'm sure moomoos (Mamamoo fans) have inundated you with info about your bias Hwasa and the rest of the members but fwiw I think the basic things to know about MMM are that they're generally considered the best singers among the current generation of girl groups (they're best when live and btw they don't lip sync), they write some of their songs and usually do their own choreo (but not on Hip or Gogobebe), they're always experimenting musically and have an extremely diverse discography, they ignore typical kpop girl group concepts & general social standards regarding gender and sexuality, and they're serious artists who don't take themselves too seriously and are aka beagle-dols because they're one of the goofiest girl groups around. For a real taste of their amazing vocals check out the live video called Immortal Songs Medley or any of their 14 appearances on the singing competition tv show Immortal Songs 2. Delilah and Backwoods are good contrasting songs to start with. Welcome to one of the most fascinating and talented girl groups on the planet. 😂

I can’t wait for Zach to find Hwasa’s Twit! Each of the girls’ have some solos songs on their own and Moonbyul (Lilac/Silver hair) released a solo album recently. For new people I recommend Twit for Hwasa( his fave) Selfish or her album Dark Side of the Moon for Moonbyul, Easy for Weein, (red protester), and I Miss You for Solar the boxer ( Not a solo but her vocals are 🎆 in that song and it’s vocally my favorite song from them.
