I got into them at the beginning of this covid mess and was blown away by their vocal abilities (I’ve seen a couple of their videos over the years, but it was this immortal songs medley performance that got me to be a fan too) but what will really get you into them is their amazing personalities, sense of humor and chemistry as a group. Glad to see other people discovering them too.

Mamamoo are on another level. They always sing live and they like to change up the ad libs in their songs in each performance. They can do and have done any genre with ease and to perfection.

Their label is RBW (Rainbow Bridge) along with Onewe, Oneus and Purple Kiss (pre debute). When they debuted RBW was a very small company and they had to prove themselves as well as doing their own choreography, makeup etc. They cut their teeth by busking and doing college festivals. In 6 and 1/2 years they have released 2 albums and 10 mini albums/extended plays . Each one of the girls has released solos, and numerous collabs and OSTs. Appeared on many TV shows such as Queendom, Immortal singer, masked singer and Hee-Yeol's Sketchbook. Makes me feel a little lazy.

Lovely reaction if you like to watch other MVs: dingga, starry night, wind flower, egothistic, wanna be myself the lives performances for me and probably all the 99% of people will tell you its better than the studio version (they are that good). Also I recomended purple hawke intro at least for to know a little of them and they music its insane all the songs they have.

These are OLD hit songs enjoyed by boomers/gen x'ers lol if you hear the originals its waay different. Its difficult to remake one iconic song without looking stupid but they did it several times so its no fluke. To help you with cultural context think elton john ballads all the nans and mums love then turning it to something danceable. It doesnt make sense right? Exactly. Well they did it and you just saw snippets(medley). They can take any song and update it. Yeah that explains the dated choreography those were the "steps" each song made popular think macarena or naenae. Its a nostalgic wink back to the audience who may remember. All very wholesome.
