Welcome to the rabbit hole. This group has SO much content, I'm a couple years into their fandom and still haven't seen all of it. I saw them in Oakland, CA and they're every bit what you expect them to be. The connection with fans is unbelievable and their willingness to support every single one is awesome. Many of the groups in Queendom mentioned not wanting to have Mamamoo against them because of what they are, but all of them would love to have them as mentors. Mamamoo is just different. Fans ship groups for various reasons, groups ship Mamamoo because of everything they can do. I respect ALL of the groups in kpop, but Mamamoo is just different. The talent is overwhelming and the fact RBW took these girls that were rejected by the big companies and created this...unreal. Welcome to MooMoo nation. Enjoy🎉!😊

Ironically it's more than likely that Mamamoo itself didn't really want to compete on the show (they were so busy with their upcoming comeback - and they almost too successful compared to the other groups) - but RBW pretty much pressured them to appear. The fact that they won shows just how talented they are.

The idols reacting to Mamamoo are: AOA, Oh My Girl, G-Idle, Lovelyz, Park Bom. That large eyed girl is Park Bom from the legendary 2nd gen group 2NE1. The Queendom performances of everyone was beyond brilliant especially Mamamoo, Oh My Girl and G-Idle. They chose to sing this song because it's for the category of fandom and Moonbyul actually changed the rap verses as a dedication to Moomoos for always supporting them.

There is nothing they can not do is so correct. Moonbyul changed the lyrics in her solo part to be more directed to the fans. That what the video clips were also doing, calling out to their fans, moomoos. They had so many great performances on Queendom.

This should not be a surprise, a shock or a spoiler to anybody by now: OF COURSE MMM won that season of Queendom. We know how competitive Solar can be. But it was (G)I-DLE that took Second Place. Everything they did and were up to around that time frame is just one of a few reasons that (G)I-DLE were known as 'The Monster Rookies'. That means that while they were still considered to be ROOKIES (more than one year since their debut but not two years by then) and being the youngest ladies in the entire competition, they still beat the likes of Park Bom (originally debuted with 2NE1 but was solo here), AOA, Oh My Girl and Lovelyz. They were up against THOSE already-well-established, highly esteemed monster groups and one soloist, and they still managed to beat all but Mamamoo in competition. That's truly AMAZING to think about. It's mostly Soyeon's genius but of course the other members also had to do everything that was asked of them in order to get as far as they did. PROFESSIONALS right out the gate. I love all these groups and Bom. I am not sure about the lower ranks but (G)I-DLE definitely deserved to be in that competition and they deserved to get that close to the trophy. Just that Mamamoo literally is a different kind of monster group.

Yes that’s the default standing order of Mamamoo. That way they never got confused etc. They stand like that everywhere interview, broadcast, award show, dance, performance, etc. And funfact Solar is a bit clumsy so Moonbyul is there and responsible for keeping her safe - that’s why when they are not standing in that defaul order, there’re often accidents that happened😂

mamamoo were absolute MONSTERS in queendom, every single one of their performances were filled with such passion and energy! my favourite performance was their cover of Good Luck (original by AOA) where each member gets a solo part where they showcase their individual styles, and then they all come together in the end. solar has a small rap part, wheein wasn't feeling well at the time but she performed anyway, hwasa and moonbyul killed it as usual. their final performance of destiny is also phenomenal, you should definitely check that out as well!

Once again your observation skills are amazing! The company did tell them to stand in that order so it's very weird for us moos to see them when they aren't standing the usual Moonbyul-Solar-Wheein-Hwasa position. Like there's something wrong and the world is ending lol. Fun Facts: Byul changed the lyrics and made it as a message to moomoos. MMM said they avoid looking at the crowd since they were trying not to cry while singing. Wheein and Hwasa cracked their voice trying not to cry.

They even seem to sit in that order in their other content! Haha Byul's lyrics in this are beautiful... and you can see the impact they're having on the crowd. No surprise they couldn't look. I nearly cracked watching it from the other side of the world, years later!

I am not sure exactly what happened or WHY they changed it or solidified a specific seating or standing arrangement but they did, so that is what everybody got used to. They were not always like that. I would love to know the story of how and why it happened.

Moomoos are some of the nicest fans around but we do love watching people cry while listening to Mamamoo. I wouldn't exactly call it sadistic though - if you're crying we're probably crying too. Yes, they always stand in that order. That's their homebase and comfort zone. I think what you meant about Solar's control was her use of dynamics within a word or a phrase. Mamamoo seems to manipulate sound like it's playdough in their mouths as though they're creating a kinetic sound sculpture infused with emotion. As a result it has a visceral impact whether it's in the form of tears, goosebumps or something else. For example, it took quite awhile before I stopped feeling as though each member was attacking a different part of my body when I listened to Paint Me, another vocal masterpiece. The assignment for this "Fan-dora's Box" round of Queendom was to do a song suggested by their fans. Moonbyul re-wrote her rap verse and they added the video clips to turn I Miss You into a love song to moomoos. Lots of moo tears were shed. They were the only contestant to take this approach to the assignment. There were lots of great performances on Queendom by all the contestants and you were correct, that was (G)I-dle. The others were AOA, Lovelyz, Oh My Girl, and Park Bom (former member of 2NE1).

the Queendom version of the song is my favorite, the other groups were basically in love with the song also. Fun fact, I watched queendom and before Mamamoo was announced the other groups were asked is their any group they dont want to compete against and all of them said mamamoo, then they introduced mamamoo, lol. But they followed that with Park Bom which was insane because every other woman in every group basically is a fangirl of 2NE1 usually stanning Park Bom, who competed as a solo act against all of them. The rest of queendom is great, Decalcomanie and destiny are both the best versions IMHO, and even their cover of AOA's Good Luck is great (moonbyul has a couple of men on leashes in that) and AOA's cover of Egotistic is worth watching. As for Ballads, they have an album WAW which has only ballads on it, 4 of them. Paint Me is another insanely great song, MV is unreal but they did a live version last year at the end of the Hwasa Show episode 8 Mamamoo hit songs collection, it is the last song, to a live band. If you really want to cry, The I love Too (Never Letting Go) at the moosical performance, the song is great but what happens mid song, well if you dont cry you are not human, and for Solar her Solar Emotion project, covers and like 6 of the songs will leave you with tears. LMM for Hwasa again, dont watch it if prone to tears.

Great reaction. I watched Queendom when it was in progress and loved this version of the song. These ladies are amazing. Two things I would like to add on the side. One of the performances on Queendom was one group covering the other groups song, and while Mamamoo did fantastic, AoA covered one of Mamamoo's songs pretty well, but the funny thing was listening to AoA talk about having to cover it (and how difficult it was going to be). Also, just to protect you from rabid fans, the (G) in (G) I-dle's name is not pronounced. So just I-dle. Again, well done on the reaction.

Before debut every member of Mamamo was rejected from Big 3 companies and told they were too short and not conventionally pretty enough to make it as idols. They quickly decided they would have to excel at performances just to survive as a group, and this was five years later. If you can believe it, Mamamo came in 2nd place that round. I won't say 1st yet in case you have other Queendom plans but they are worth a look too.

If/When you get to their solo stuff you will have a rough time with Hwasa's "LMM" the symbolism in the video and the meaning of the song.... gets me every time, one of my faves but I kinda avoid it unless I clear for crying.

Yeah iirc they always stands like that from their debut. It's started when they introduced themselves, when they say their intro in harmonies. " I say mama mama moo". Fun fact When they try to changed the positions they got confused and can't sync their intro, the harmonies got ruin 😂😅 Maybe after this you can check um oh ah yeah. Oh to answer your question, yest they always stand next to each other exactly like that since their debut. It's not that they have 2 friendships relationships but for the harmonization reasons they've tried to switch the standings order but have always back to their default position cause the think they're not sounds right perfect harmony if they switched

I'm not sure where the decision for ordering the line comes from honestly. But that's the order they start a lot of performances with that i recall. This is the best version of this song, IMO. Dedicated to their fans, it's hard to beat. We could direct you to Where Are We Now. Which is possibly a better song. But it got released during contract negotiations. That ended with Wheein going over to TheLive for her solo stuff. Combined with the tone of the documentary of the same name. Where Are We Now, in my mind, is permanently associated with the possibility of them breaking up as a group. And that ruins the song for me. Queendom is amazing. :) Honestly, it's worth watching everyone's performance. I loved pretty much all of the performances. Even the groups that don't really appeal to me like Oh My Girl or Lovlies. But it might need to be a patreon reaction.(if you have one). Because MNET is a bit over protective.
