I actually think there is a decent gap opening up between 9 clubs (the super league 6, Villa, Newcastle and West Ham) and the rest, and if you assume City and Arsenal finish the top 2, I can see being incredibly competitive amongst the rest for the other places. As a Villa fan I think we could finish anywhere between 3rd and 9th. Leicester, Southampton and Forest go down.

@@Ethan-zu5lq i mean he is somewhat correct, before the season ended Goldbridge said on the United stand together with some people in the chat that “now when Klopp leaves it will take time for Liverpool to comeback and that its United’s turn surpass Liverpool again” But in this prediction he says that “I said a couple of weeks ago that I think Liverpool will have a great season” and he even predicted Liverpool to place better then United, and possibly compete for the title, AND he predicted them to win the champions league… so I agree with him that Goldbridge waffle quite a bit. He isn’t clueless ofc, but sometimes he speak without thinking I believe.

I think people are overhyping Newcastle based on one good season. A good season where a lot of the regulars weren’t at it. I think Villa fall off too due to CL. I think that Spurs are more slept on if Newcastle and Villa are being rated above them. And as for it just being Son or Maddison…. You could argue same for Villa if Watkins and Bailey are out, or Newcastle if Gordon and Isak are out. Plus Spurs have other options which now include Solanke.
