It's a complete rebuild. You have to give Sherrone time to build his staff he went with what he had because it was so late in the off-season same reason he didn't hit the portal hard he was trying to keep the guys we had here and he did a great job sabb being the only real loss we had on the entire team. Hopefully, we can get a qb in the portal this year and make some moves on the staff, and I think that will do it. Sherrone just needs time.

Totally Gobsmacked by what UofM coaches are doing? They could so easily roll the competition, with the exception of Tx. The DC Wink, and OC need to both “get with the program!” It starts with Coach Moore! I like him as a first year coach, but he needs to get a handle on his offense. Especially the o-Line. Hey Wink, figure out how not to give up the game in the second half!

But the last couple of games where I saw a defense of 2023 come to life and maybe have some hope! Granted USC is a far better team and thinking they just adjusted well! After that USC game I saw some hope that we had turned it around but after putting the peace’s together this is a one half team that needs some adjustments to! @RKLIFE17 , what's the definition? Any portion of his body crossing the line? If so, it was offsides. But barely, and his feet were well behind the line. This isn't track. But if the rule is even the facemask over the line is offsides, then it's accurately called. I just would like to see the rule changed.
@RKLIFE17Ай бұрын
@@dinch2 yeah that’s the definition. I tend to agree with you, we should make onside kicks work about 20% of the time. I watched it from every angle available. The live TV angle is the best, and you can see his upper body across the line before the ball leaves the kicking tee. More interestingly, you can clearly see the ball touch 0 for the gophers before it travels 10 yards. This probably would’ve been reviewed (change of possession) if there wasn’t a flag called for offsides.
@skagen1972Ай бұрын
This year’s Michigan is a first half team only, because they seem to think there isn’t a second half that needs to be played. I think offense need to do more option plays because everyone knows that both Mullings and Orji can run. So make the defense over commit on one guy and then pitch or keep the ball. Or even pretend to going through the motion of an option play while Loveland blocks then break off at the last minute for a five yard shuffle pass to Loveland. A triple threat all in one play the defense has to worry about.
@foxbodyblues6709Ай бұрын
Teams are realizing they don’t have to play coverage in the 2nd half, and should just play goal line D against them in the 2nd half.

I was the only person not happy with tossing Warren to the curb. Granted, many interceptions. Over two games. Work it out. In my opinion, Moore just waited for Warren to screw up to put Orji in. We'll pay for that mistake when we visit Columbus November 30th.
@inflameswetrust2194Ай бұрын
When I watched the michigan spring game I was much more impressed with orji then Warren. As a buckeye fan I was hoping um would start Warren all season. Orji is just a much bigger threat schematically. If I were calling plays for um I'd switch to a pistol/heavy shotgun playbook and lean into read options and tight end passing. Tell orji if the tight end isn't open in the middle of the field then take off immediately and get yards with his legs. The defense will probably keep a spy on him or blitz corners but thats what slants and curl routes are for. Granted michigan built this whole identity around running from under the center, but Orji isn't that kind of qb.

Michigan Grad here. We've been outscored 42-19 in the 2nd half of the last two games. No college coach is afraid to face Sherrone. Moore doesn't have the brain power to out-scheme, prep or adjust. He's simply not very bright. We should be 2-3 right now. Minnesota was robbed by the refs on that onside kick, too.
@bdtn342Ай бұрын
@DavidHooper401 not very bright? He was the OC last year if you recall. Give the guy a chance to work into this situation. Any coach would have a challenge taking over with all this team has changed. Right now, they have managed to keep winning and I like our chances of getting to the playoffs

Sam is highlighting Notre Dame's problems and again pointing to 1st time Head Coaching of Freeman. Fast forward four games in and now Ann Arbor is upset that a 1st TIME COACH is sketchy with his job and they look super vulnerable. Could it be that experienced Head Coaches tip the scale? It was bound to happen. This was a bit of a "trap" game. Minnesota was going to have a good game eventually and Michigan was coming off a big win and about to hit the road to play the team they just beat for the natty. Those two factors collided in the second half. Luckily, the refs ultimately let them off the hook for falling asleep at the wheel. Anyway, just because the media all of a sudden predicted Michigan to blow the Gophers out all last week didn't mean Michigan wasn't going to do what Michigan always does.
@dustinschalk8825Ай бұрын
I think wink has been way better the last couple games , including today, UNTIL the last Minnesota drive whek he kept running cover 1 or 0 man coverage every single play . Even announcers were dumb founded by it . They kept running the same play and getting beat . They stil almost stopped them because our d line is absurd . But that series there was head scratching . coaching staff needs to learn how to play and call a 2nd half . If you can’t anticipate them , at least Adjust to the other teams adjustments. they need to figure out the focus and the details . Too many mental errors . They honestly seem , at times , like a more talented version of a Brady hoke team . Constantly shooting them selves in the foot down the stretch . We all know they’re better than that . But something is off . 🤷♂️ they still won. Go blue
