I like that they're taking it slow this year and they aren't just throwing everything they would LIKE to put in the game in the Live Event where people can get unrealistically high expectations. They were straightforward, communicated that we haven't seen all the features coming in 1.20, and that we'll be working on feedback in real time along with developers. That way it will be more cohesive and community filled than ever before. No jumping the gun and showing us the respect we asked for. I am eager to see all the other unannounced features they're going to be introducing in 1.20 when they're closer to completion. This is by far the smartest move on their part.

@@captainwatson1652 I can't wait to be more involved in the creation process of Minecraft. I saw someone with the cool suggestion to hook up hoppers to bookshelves for sorting machines. I think that is awesome! If it's not in there we should all suggest it when the beta rolls out for 1.20, it'll only improve the playability. I mean think about shops! Or what this could mean for looting! Are we the only people who can make these? Will we find these in villages and mansions? If so that would be epic.

I'm honestly more excited for the Bamboo blocks, Bookshelves, and other things than I am for the Sniffer. I'm sure it'll be ok, just not feeling that excited for it. What we really need, as you guys said, is the inventory update. Maybe something like "Deepslate Bundle", that holds up to a stack of each Deepslate block variant, with easy access (not needing to put it down like a shulker), and one for each other type of block of course.

I've been playing minecraft for like seven years, and I, to this day, never got an elytra (in survival). Endgame was never something I wanted to achieve, so things like the Camel are still really cool

Grian being part of this is great. So the would you rather slow flying or running 3 times as fast here's my answer to that. Even though flight might be awesome the slowness of it just makes it undesirable that I'd rather be able to run fast. Why would I need a car unless I need to travel far. I'd be fast enough to get to most of the places I want to go.

If I had feet 3 times their current size, I'd probably be able to walk tippy-toes all the time with no difficulty, and that would add *so much height* to me Edit: also wheel toes would rob me of the ability to pick things up with my feet Also flight, always. I can confirm that the blockbench mobs work for java as well through the use of mods, although I personally have only used it for 3d items so far.

the rascal is a mob that will give you stuff themed to mining and caving as prizes and they say the loot isn't decided yet...meaning since storage solutions is smth you would tend to need quite a lot when you're caving down in the mines, if it had won there was a possibility we would get some degree of inventory update as part of the rascal's loot...welp, it didn't win so I hope at least the ancient plant is nice... edit: the rascal's even carrying a backpack/sack

I still think Bookshelves will be useful because I imagine that when destroying Chiseled Bookshelves it will only drop the existing books the user has placed inside it. AND Regular Bookshelves will still be useful because it will still drop Regular books. So that's why I think Bookshelves and Chiseled Bookshelves will coexist with each other.

Me personally would choose fly, because half walking speed isn't crazy slow and I feel like it would be amazing to be able to float or fly around, I would have so much fun and if you could fly, albeit slightly slow but I feel like you could like mega multitask while doing that, you can only run while running, also you would go so fast that the wind would just kill your eyes but with the speed u are going u cant close you're eyes.

It doesn't matter how fast I can run currently because running is so painful. I currently walk extremely slowly because it hurts to walk. If I could fly, I could fly lying down and then I wouldn't be in as much pain, and I bet that if it was 1/3 of my top running speed, it would be faster than I currently walk. I agree with Grian, never give up the ability to fly.

I’ve only realized while watching so many peoples reactions afterwards, that the shirts the people are wearing for the blockbench section have an extra heart if those are supposed to be like the games health bar hearts, cause that’s what they look like to me. What are the odd colors for? My little thoughts are, in my eyes the colors are too bright and I’d make it a cool gradient of colors that blend in a more appealing way :D It’s probably supposed to be each color is referencing something and that’s why there’s a weird number of hearts lol. (1) The tuff golem losing is disappointing but not surprising. I'm sure the Sniffer will still be good. (2) The Warden's musical number was the best part of the entire presentation and I am starting a position to have it added as a music disc in the Ancient City. (3) The Legends' presentation was terrible but the game itself looks like it could be okay. (4) Jimmy's Mumbo impression is scarily good. (5) The new things being added are cool; especially giving a use to bamboo which is the most farmable resource in Minecraft. I'm not sure about the color but the texture is nice. (6) I get that it's a careful balance between building hype and managing expectations, but I think the problem with the 1.20 presentation was that they didn't given any sort of map. There's no theme or pattern, just a couple cool new blocks and a new mob, meaning that we have no idea what else (if anything else) is going to be in the update. So it's nice but not very exciting.

Actually, I think the theme is meant to be adding purpose to things without much purpose. You had no reason to go to the desert or for cacti, now you have camels! You didn’t have much to do with bamboo, now we have all the new bamboo stuff. Not much for bookshelves? Boom! New bookshelves. Not much to do with some signs? Boom! More customization and ways to use them. That’s what I think anyways, you’re free to disagree. :)

think about the entertainment potential, you could literally skydive for free whenever. not to mention you'd instantly be the best basketball AND american football player ever. in addition, you wouldn't have to scoot out chairs ever again. for example, my desk chair (which im in right now) is surrounded on either side, so I have to scoot it out to get out and in. however if I could fly i'd just jump backwards. furthermore, even if it is at half walking speed, the rules of physics still apply. Yes, you can only self-propell yourself at half walking speed, but if you kicked off of a wall or had a sail or a fan or something, you'd be able to move significantly faster.
