I had a friend in kindergarten but then she went to a private school but this year in 7th grade I found her and I found out she is a lesbian like me. And I met this boy and he gave me his number on the 3rd day of school so I thought he liked me but then I found out he was gay. And my whole friend group is gay so I guess all our gaydars were like ok we need to get them to be friends.

Coming out can be scary for sure, especially when you don't know how people you want to tell are going to react. I didn't come out until my late teens. Now my mother and all of my friends know and it feels amazing to be out. Please be sure to only come out when you are ready and make sure you're in a safe environment before you come out as well. Both of those things are very important to do before you come out. Good luck. :)

I know like 70% of the comments I write are thanking people for stuff they aren’t even trying to do or maybe they are, but I’m still going to do it. I’ve said it once and I’ll say it again, watching your videos is one of the only times I feel valid and heard with my gender identity and sexual orientation. Today I have been feeling especially dysphoric because a lot of people in the south part of the USA are transphobic and disrespect people’s pronouns as well as sexual orientations, my family is no exception. However, as soon as I heard you say “Oh, boy, we are not straight here,” I smiled. For the first time all day I actually smiled, so thank you, Dutchy! Thank you for making me and many others feel valid.
