I’m a lesbian and I used to have a crush on my (straight) best friend. All our friends knew that I liked her, but she didn’t. I debated for a long time about whether I wanted to tell her or not. I knew she wouldn’t like me back, which didn’t make it easier. I was almost completely sure she would hate me or not want to be my friend anymore. Anyways, my friends ended up peer pressuring me into telling her. In the end, she didn’t really care if I liked her. She was actually fine with it. Basically, the moral of the story: If your crush is a true friend, they won’t care if you like them. They should continue to be your friend no matter what. And, who knows, they might even like you back! I wish you the best of luck for coming out and telling your friend you like them. 🏳️‍🌈

When I came out as trans two years ago, I straight up told my mom. She knew for years that I shave my legs, arms, etc. and had her suspicions about me since I was a teenager. Then she hugged me and we discussed my plan to transition. I'm now 11½ months into HRT and have had my name and gender marker legally changed.

@@jt_the_baybee Well, update! I told my mom yesterday and she said that she already knew. To be fair, she once asked me before I knew myself, so I didn't confirmed it. She's totally cool with it, and that's why I came out to her first, I kinda knew her reaction. Now I'll come out to my dad next week. That's what I'm a little bit scared of. (I'm noticing I wasn't clear, I'm just coming out to my parents, I'm already out to my friends so yeah. It's going well!)
