The lyrics come from Egil’s saga, a icelandic saga about Egill Skallagrimsson. The legend told that Egill wrote this poem when he was 7 or 8 years old, the night after he killed his first man but Snorri Sturluson is probably the author. Eli created the backgrounds using an app. I know that Geoff sometimes helps with arrangements for Home Free, maybe for Pentatonix? I don't know. I do know that they're all friends however, and compete in a friendly way.

With all the changes in style you were talking about, at 5:53 I think it got a video game-like sound for a little, at some point recently a version of this song was used as part of the soundtrack of the video game AC Valhalla, so mayyybe it could be a reference, or maybe I’m just imagining things 😅 I’ll have to go check, but have you seen Voiceplay’s ACA Top 10 Video Game Soundtracks? It’s definitely fun if you’re interested!
@ZhenYaoYin3 жыл бұрын
I can see what you’re talking about! Before our reaction I actually discussed the rise in Viking-related media in recent years (AC Valhalla, Vikings TV series, God of War) but I ended up cutting that part out for time 😜

Also we’d probably go through the entire ACA Top 10 playlist eventually… Our next video which we’ll release this weekend is one of them so stay tuned 😜

@@ZhenYaoYin He's doing subharmonics and overtones at the same time.
@jogo-md8jq3 жыл бұрын
@@BibleU777 Subharmonics by definition have an overtone. Because how subharmonics work is: We sing a fundamental note, and then sing the note 1/5 above it. That creates a subharmonic undertone which is an octave below the fundamental. So by definition a subharmonic has an undertone/overtone depending on how you decide to call it.

That would be an undertone. An overtone is above the sung notes. In this case, its a subharmonic note.

My favorite reaction yet. Also! For the hiccups first make yourself swallow your saliva three times without hiccuping in a row without drinking anything then continue to focus on swallowing as many times as you can. It will stabilize your breathing as one normally does not breathe and swallow at the same time. And will fix even the most massive of hiccups. Lemme know how it turns out!
