Reacting To My Premier League 23/24 Predictions

The Premier League season has been sensational. Man City were fantastic, Arsenal were dazzling, Manchester United were atrocious and Luton were nearly a fairytale. But could anyone actually have predicted the way the season would turn out. Part of what makes football so enthralling is its unpredictability...but we have to try. So let's see how my predictions fared at the beginning of the season.

As a Villa fan the signs were there at the end of last season. From the day Villa appointed Emery until the end of 2022/2023 season, Villa had accumulated the 4th most points in that time, they were in CL form, Gerrard had just held us back at the start of that season. So us Villa fans were quietly confident we could do something, but to keep up that form for the whole next season is beyond impressive. Can not wait for the UCL nights next year. UTV!

Pre Roman Chelsea won 1 league title in 1955 , 2 cup winners & 3 FA CUPS. Stop with this narrative, football has been around longer than the EPL.Also Chelsea didn’t win a FA CUP until 1970 while spurs won their first FA CUP in 1901 as a non league club. History matters

If Brighton don't get relegated next season, then it won't be too long before they do. They're a 3rd/4th tier club, as proven by them playing at that level for 95% of their existence as a football club. It's just a matter of time before they go back to their traditional level.

Brighton are now a premier league club on merit,in life things change & just cos they've spent most of their past in the lower leagues it doesn't mean shit to what is currently taking place at the club nowadays. Brighton now are the envy of most clubs making profit year on year & are clearly very well run using the latest data in recruitment & bringing many players through their academy & later selling them on for big fees, they're playing in a purpose built stadium that is full most home games & averageing 30.000+. So where they were in the past is irrelevant & it gives other lower league clubs hope of a change for the better & clearly shows what a club that's had big problems over their history can do when talented people make good decisions in all areas at a football club,I'm not a Brighton fan,but I think Tony Bloom & co deserve Abit of credit for turning a shit show into a well oiled machine. 😊

The Havertz prediction wasn't even that bad. Why was you so scared of it? You make it sound like Havertz had a season like Cole Palmer... You were right about him bringing nothing Arsenal didn't already have. Its just that Jesus and Martinelli completely fell off. Compare Havertz to the two players statistic from last year. 11 from Jesus last year is not that much different from 13 Havertz scored this year (the Chelsea game really inflated his performances this season, is that quality or lack of it from Chelsea?) I still think its too soon to say Havertz has turned a corner as next year he could follow the trajectory of the other two and fall off just as bad. Or maybe he has turned a corner and he's improve next year. Saying that his confidence might be hit from the fact that Arsenal are looking for another striker, someone better than him to be Arsenals no.9. Basically admitting that they made a mistake and should have signed one last year. Where is Havertz going to play if they sign another no.9? He doesn't work in the midfield and he can't play winger like Jesus, so is he now a bench player if they make a striker signing? Also you didn't have Chelsea finishing top 4...
