You have the most authentic and down to earth attitude about everything, Erin. The reason I keep coming back to your content. You're just being yourself and enjoying yourself. You're not trying to be an influencer or be someone you're not. You're just living your best life, doing what makes you happy. That kind of adventure and feeling of freedom is more "van life" than some huge vans with all the bells and whistles. Anyways, hope you're having a great summer 😊

Also, I've always wondered and wanted to ask if you used all the "dead space" behind and around the drawers under your bed for anything. So thank you for answering that question. It's actually amazing how much can be fit inside these "tiny" vans. Lady Bugout and your low tech builds always prove how functional and efficient these tiny vans can be. I first started watching her and your videos because I love Ford Transit Connect builds, but stayed because you both have wonderful, endearing down to earth and genuine personalities. Also also, when I first suggested you build the overhead storage above the driving area in one of my comments ages ago and suggested looking at how Lady Bugout built hers, I was so excited to see that you actually went and did it and that it was so useful for you and made life and trips easier. But now that I know you basically made it out of an old trellis your dad had and recycled it, IT IS SOOOOOO MUCH COOLER!!!! You have so much ingenuity and can do attitude! It's inspiring! I kinda wish you had done more indepth videos of how you recycle and upcycle things in your build, because it would show people that you don't need to go buy super expensive build materials, fancy things, etc if you are a bit resourceful, creative and hard working you can still build things that are functional and "aesthetic" while saving loads of money and reusing things that would otherwise go to waste. Super inspiring!

Aww this comment makes me so happy. Thank you very much!! I love that people resonate with the videos where I am just being myself! I completely agree that the "van life" is more of a mindset. and yes the overhead storage was such a game changer and I wish I would have built it sooner!!

Awe! I loved your interview! That's how i found your channel. It was so refreshing to come across someone with a cozy build that was more accessible especially after having just watched a tour where someone had spent over 70k 🫠

Aw welcome to the channel!! I'm so glad you liked the tour, I definitely try to show a more accessible and realistic version of the vanlife!

Erin, you should make your own van tour with all the new upgrades or new stuff that you have. Most channels grow their subscribers with tours. And your van is so cute and unique!! ❤
@RottenlyMoodyChild5 ай бұрын
I agree with this. Most channels' most popular videos are usually tour videos, and even updated tour videos gain a lot of views and subscribers. An updated tour video would be great! But also a seperate video comparing the first iteration vs how the van is now and how it has improved your experience and function, etc would be really informative and helpful to viewers.

I think your van is great size. Especially when you want to be exploring your environment. Way easier to drive around and get to places bigger vans can’t. Less hassle packing up and getting on the road. I used to live in a smaller set up like you but upgraded to a bigger van. Each have their pros and cons and honestly I miss having my smaller set up. It was so fun. I live in Australia and love travelling around hiking and camping in the different states here. I think in the future I’ll go back to a smaller vehicle. I love your lifestyle, you look like a fun person to hang out with!

Very informative. I have a white 2011 TC PW and I have camped out in it. Now converting it to a camper. I took out the bench seat and built a platform a little smaller than yours. Your mattress solution is brilliant. I am thinking of mounting the extras to the ceiling. My next project is extending the front overhead shelf.

Great video girl , I am using a recycled bed base and even mattress, it's nice to see a clean cooker, so many people doing these videos seem to never clean the cooker, obviously any cooker can be needing a clean but if people are going to make a video wouldn't you clean at least a little before hand 😊.

@@erin_elyse That's so cool! It's hard to tell, but if I had to guess it looks like a Canon. Creamy tasteful colors. The plants don't seem too green, so its not likely to be a fuji. And skin color is very neutraly pink. The look is not digital, so its not a sony. My guess its a Canon. Anyway, its an incredible bump in video quality! Looking forward to the new videos!

The trip sounds awesome. I've spent about a year in Ecuador over three trips. I'd go again but I'd be the weird old dude of the group. I've heard it's kind of rough there lately with the cartels and president at war but I'm sure it'll be fine with good guides. Most things like that look worse in the news than in person. Heck, I was in Honduras when a military coup popped off and my family was worried sick seeing the news, but I barely noticed anything.
@erin_elyse5 ай бұрын
Wow!! Yeah people have definitely been saying they would go but they are too nervous with some of the conflicts going on. We are going to the most touristy areas though, and yes like you said, we will have a guide so im not too concerned. Glad you were fine in Honduras!

well it seems to work for you and the van is small i did like that model it looks little taller than the newer one cannot get why all 3 small commercial vans have been discontinued although ford got hit with the 25% chicken tas which probably killed the profit but businesses often need small light vans not the big heavy halling van from the makers due to stupid epa rules
