Ur content is so helpful without being intimidating to put into practice - could u tell me what music artists/songs/playlists you use to get into dark characters? tysm :)

@@Pops-fq2pg Thank you so much for your comment!! And very fun! Hopefully you've been enjoying that process!! I love instrumentals to get me into that modality from films with similar tones. Bathroom Dance from the original Joker movie is a constant go-to. I also listen to dark binaural beats which you can find on KZbin. Waiting for a Train by Hans Zimmer from Inception is also iconic for darkness. For me personally, unless there's a song that's hyper specific and resonant with the character, I stay away from lyrics because they can become more distracting for me.

That note about tensing your arm instead of focusing on shaking your hand was super interesting! I had never considered that. Also love your little acknowledgement of the work the prop department put into the phone screen. Relationships are so important for actors - you never know when someone behind the scenes might put a good word in for you!

Heyy I just wanted to know if it would be a bad look to submit an audition for a role on backstage if it says 18+ but im 16?

Great question! Yes, it either means the subject material is mature and they’re not comfortable with under 18 or they don’t have it in their budget to accommodate the labor laws and thus extra filming days required for child actors.
