I can’t wait to see this band. I hope they come back to the US soon.

Mayu has a raspy, throaty and nasaly tone that just melts together. She really has an impressive control of her vocals. Awesome band. On the + side of closing in on 2K subs.

Agreed Haraguchi san is awesome

She's superb. Flies a bit under the radar at times...but that's no bad thing in a bassist: sometimes it's the job of the rhythm section to underpin the song...to provide that unshakeable foundation. She can flash some mad chops when the song calls for them, though.

On the language thing: In many Asian countries English is a bit of a "flex" language. If you speak good English that means that you are very modern and cool, basically. So it is not uncommon for asian artists to throw in a lot of English into their songs. Also, like you said, it is also a way to reach a bigger market than just the domestic one.

When you consider that Mayu didnt have an understanding of the words at that time and was just repeating the sounds of the word you realize how brilliant she is to be able to do that. Its different to actually learning the word. Very hard to parrot a word and a phrase. Try doing it to Japanese. Its so hard.

This and "Revive" are my go to intro to Nemo MV's. Intro MVs in the metal/rock genre should rip your face off! That's just the rulez. I didn't make them!😅 "Rise" next, please! Hardcore punk? Otoboke Beaver "Don't Light My Fire" The name and title alone!🤘

Check out rise from nemophila it’s a killer song with a good message behind it 🤘🏻you pronounced it right 🤘🏻

I read somewhere that Mayu herself didn't like her voice here in this song cause it's too "processed", but her voice in the live version of this song is as awesome, and of course sounds more natural. Thanks for the reaction! I have a new group to request, please try to react to Broken By The Scream. You'll be blown away by the diversity of the vocals there.

I work in an office that does business in many countries and one of our sales rep can speak 7 different languages and he never has to pause to think about the words he speaks both Slavic languages and several asian languages. I wish I could do that. But when your proficient in the langues I guess your brain just works that way.

I'm not sure how Nemophila chooses when and where to place English in their lyrics, but Hanabie said they insert English when they want to emphasize something or drive home a point.

鬼灯/hoozuki is not nemophila, it's ground cherry or Chinese lantern plant, and demon light is totally mistranslation. 瑠璃唐草/rurikarakusa is nemophila in Japanese.

DISSENTION was NEMOPHILA's first OMV. Try ADABANA next. Perhaps their masterpiece, t has a totally different sound. When you speak two languages, switching back and forth is no problem. It can throw off listeners, though.

It's NE-MO-FEE-LA which is the Japanese pronunciation of Nemophila. This is the Nemophila that was, Saki's left. So they are reorganizing into a 4 member band.

Oops, I forgot to ask you, did you happen to notice that Saki and Hazuki are playing 7-string guitars??

Yes when the lyrics are in English she has to repeat them and make sure she is pronouncing them right
