This might b a slight reach, but I do think her talking about Deviljho, Seregios and then Lagiacrus is confirming that Lagiacrus is returning in wilds. Think about it. Deviljho came back for World, Seregios came back for Rise. It makes sense to hint Lagiacrus if its returning in Wilds (this also probably means no Jho or Steve). Thats the only reason I can think of why those 3 monsters specifically would be hinted at.

@@yorukage5926 Barely makes a blip on a "not good" scale though, imo. People can say whatever they like as long as they're having fun, because it's not 'that' big of a deal. Personally, I find myself vibing with the video's pronunciation of Lagiacrus more than I ever did with Josh's, regardless of which is correct or not. Maybe that's because I didn't hang onto any preconceptions of his name's pronunciation (or the like), but even so, I'm fine with myself liking that and others liking the other. It works for me, and what works for others works for them; simple as that tbh.

Bias aside, my mother language is portuguese, so the latin sounding names do feel right at home.. in contrast, when the dissonance between those and the english pronounciation is too big, it comes out as alien and uncanny, I guess...

Most of this must've been influenced by the japanese name pronounciation. Remember, monster hunter is originated from japan, and almost all of the letter in japanese can only be read in 1 way, its not like in english where Ti can be read as tai or tee. If the letter is written チイ it will be read as "ti" in "tee". Same case with lagiacrus.

i have many thoughts after watching this. it was a good message of what the world is like and what being a hunter is like. 1, I find them talking about all the elder dragons strange because in the context of it elder dragons is like a class of their own in power and nature yet rajang and deviljo fights them. also the bit of elder dragons being a powerful force the hunters with the highest skill hardly survive is weird with nergigante on the list he hunts elder dragons and the toughest enemies his goal is our goal to hunt the dangerous monsters that threatens the ecosystem, so nergigante shouldn't really be on the threatening hunters list even more so because he saves the hunters in iceborn from bazal. 2, the explore the world of monster hunter part is weird, is story's cannon to the monster hunter lore? or is it a different dimension which is considered cannon to the lore. 3, the part about the black and white dragons on that page has to be a reference to the games new monsters not only does both dragons move but in story's their was a white elder dragon that was also a dangerous black elder dragon..add that with the original trailer for wilds bringing up a black flame and theirs clearly a connection here.

I'm still so confused, as to why they didn't just have an actor from the game, like Alma's actress, do this instead. Nothing against her but it's just odd. The most sensible theory... And the funniest, is that she asked nicely: "Help me Capcom, your my only hope to pay for my mortgage this month."
