You guys got it. It's inspired by the story of Cupid and Psyche, which is what the painting in the museum depict. Basically, Cupid and Psyche fall in love but it wasn't supposed to happen so Aphrodite stepped in and made Psyche fall in love with someone else. Just a story about forbidden love, the casting choices make even more sense.

I read from another commenter that Min Hee-jin, the CEO of ADOR, sent the MV script to Tony Leung and he accepted the role for FREE as a gift to Korea.

@@CLing98 yup and I subscribed cuz u and your homie were very thorough trying to understand what the MV was about and got it right on the 1st viewing. Honestly there's some lazy and dumb reactors out there just for the views lol

You guys pretty much got the whole Cupid story right, even with the "boss cupid" Aphrodite lol. Just wanted to add that this MV continues the director's commentary on idol culture from Ditto and OMG. Cupid's story in this MV is analogous to idols and how they're meant to represent and facillitate romantic ideals to the public but are never actually allowed to be in love themselves.
