This song is so iconic because it embodies the complete lack of self identity and the struggle to find ones self as a teen becoming an adult. The mood swings and self deprecation "I'm stupid"...etc. is all part of the music and lyrics ability to reach out to the youth and telling them their not alone in their journey and their feelings of being lost searching for a purpose and a truth of self...unfortunately for Kurt that journey was cut short as his battle with depression and drug use proved too much. Very good song, very relatable even if you don't know all the lyrics.

Nirvana is single handedly responsible for making rock what it is today. These guys came along and broke all the rules. That spelled the end of poodle rock and hair bands and paved the way for the entire generation of artists that came after them. I'm honestly surprised there aren't more views. This video alone was ground breaking and claimed the #1 spot for.... Hell, it was STILL the #1 music video of all time last time I checked. This is more than a song... This joint started a Revolution. Music hasn't been the same since.
