Immediately stopped following him after that. Emongg is chill and gives genuine advice to low ranks and doesn't belittle them like Flats did to me.

OW1/2 mechanically are beautiful games, there's nothing quite like it. Unfortunately a lot of heroes launch in an unbalanced state and it causes ripples and shockwaves in the rest of the balance.

I think that's why TF2 has such a long longevity. It definetly doesn't take itself seriously and is basically the juggernaut of FPS goofiness moments. I wish OW could replicate some of it.

People really fail to realise that Overwatch had a playerbase and content creators for it WHEN IT DID NOT UPDATE FOR 3 FUCKING YEARS. Like, seriously, Overwatch will not fucking die, I seriously doubt it. It will just go through some really dry spells, the length of which is undetermined each time.

that’s not true though, overwatch stopped updated for three years after being placed in what was a good place for balance and for comp. No new heroes or maps were being added which meant there was no opportunity to mess up the already existing balance. Overwatch stopped updated as what was a good game. Updates or not, if overwatch 2 makes itself into what is a bad game, people will eventually stop playing it

@@quinndorczuk9871 yet we had time to adapt perfectly and get used to it because nothing ever changed. The game didn’t end perfect, but it ended alright and we adapted through the bad things. It didn’t change though so we never got thrown off, we just got used to what was bad. With updates, they need to figure themselves out, because if they keep making negative updates, that means we won’t adapt to the bad and it’ll just continue getting worse. It will die if that happens

I think thats a testament to how intriguing the world of Overwatch is, which is the main reason i play. The gameplay is also insanely fun, just different from other games. Its a different set of skills between overwatch and apex.

I have player well with Moira in ranked was gold 4 when i got back into rank a couple weeks ago and am currently plat 5 or 4, defiantly got to be able to find the balance and when to adjust based on team needs

In my opinion, it is the job of the Support to tell their tank that they aren't in LOS of healing. Tank has enough on their plate, Supports are here for keeping an overview of the match (especially on Mercy). I am a Support main in low Masters, if you want to know.

I Feel im one of the feel persons that loves ow2 right now, i play almost every day with my friend and we have a blast just being silly at the voice chat, and playing the characters we love in quickplay, it's a great experience. I understand the motivation, but i feel sad that the majority don't feel the same.

To answer Emongg's question, Fortnite is slightly behind where ow2 is at the moment, the hype for the new chapter has died down, people still play the game but there's nothing specific to look forward to, other than seeing what happens next season

I think most people played less in Season 8 because of Mauga, and less because season 9 coming up. I think they tried too hard to force him as a meta mostly to sell battle-passes. It's true that he wasn't that strong on launch, and it took several buffs to make him problematic... but it was just conspicuous how he gets nerfed into the ground right after he is no longer a battle pass item. You can only do that with so many heroes and pretend it's an accident.

As someone who honestly misses OW1, season 9, I plan to reinstall long enough to see if the shake up helps, but for me, this IS probably going to be a make or break season for me. For a year, overwatch has perpetually been "next season will fix it." It's like a sign at the bar that says "Free beer tomorrow." If S9 doesn't fix it, I'm gonna finally move on. 😢

As much as I complain about how OW is, I will still always play it. I don’t know why but… I just love the game. So much that instead of getting mad when people bag it, I can laugh with them because they’re not exactly wrong… I didn’t get to play OW1- I allowed try hards to convince me never to touch it again. (These were QP games) and when I finally decided to, it was gone, and here was OW2. I don’t think season 9 will make or break the game. I think it’ll bring improvements we need and just expose what else could or should be done. This game will never be perfect because the community is split…. But I personally am along for the ride and the excitement 😅 something I do think though is blizzard should stop listening to the “new players” and instead listen to the experienced players. The OG’s, the high ranked streamers who have a lot to say. It’s apart of the risk of having a FTP game… but since the first installment cost money, I feel like these new people who randomly picked it up then started their hot takes shouldn’t be taken seriously unless a veteran agrees with said hot take.. because they don’t understand the game like a seasoned player does 🤷🏼‍♀️

I just got back into Overwatch 2 after not playing since Overwatch 2. The feedback loop in Comp is trash. I barely play Comp just because it doesn't feel fun. I've been sticking to Arcade and Mystery Heroes and enjoying it. But having played Overwatch 1 from the Beta to the end, there is something else that OW2 is missing that I can't put my finger on. I used to be able to grind OW for hours when I had some extra time. Now I play about 2-3 games before I just log off. I'll win/have fun in all three games and still have the feeling to just close the game.

I agree they wouldn't be able to do both 5v5 and 6v6. The comparable thing when i think about this is fortnite and people wanting the og map to return just as a separate game mode (before the fortnite og season). Even when they decided to bring back the og map they did so by making it the only map available and just made it a shorter season than others. It would definatly need to be something similar, but dont really know if it would be possible because of all the balance changes that would be necessary from 5v5 to 6v6.

The major issue with ow2 and ow1 is that majority of support players don’t know healing priority they will see a tank at 50%hp and a dps at 50% hp and heal the tank first then wonder y they lost the fight. Coming from a support player

Don’t get me wrong genji ult doing nothing is funny but it’s like that for a lot of other heroes as well. Sombra ult for example is a joke compared to Mauga ult which even disables ult. Genji is actually quite strong for the weak dps role, just stay away from supports lol
