I love the cheesiness, the edginess, and the guise of innocence this album wears. This song personifies Poppy's work as an artist; A dark and sinister message wearing a bright and glistening face.

Metal has kind of been feeble for a long time now, there was numetal a while ago, but even that has gotten pretty stale and most of it was pretty derivative of just a few bands. There's the standards, Iron Maiden, Opeth, and the like, but they aren't getting younger. So Poppy coming along and pulling a lot J metal influences is really a breath of fresh air. The song itself doesn't fall into the same trap of a lot of bands as well, it has a fairly complicated chord structure, tempo changes and theme changes which puts it on the more complicated side of thing. Definitely far more ambitious then her early work. But that complexity makes it a turn off for a lot of listeners, the switch from screaming to 60s folk, is jarring and definitely interrupts the flow. Not everybody is going to like that, especially if you like music for a consistent beat to do something with. Her aesthetic is just that, she's basically KISS dressed up for a new generation, everything she wears is something people complain about being a bad influence in music and television, put on display and turned up to 11. But instead of guys in leather and face paint with pentagrams on their album it's a cute blond girl drenched in blood. It's not my favorite song, but it's good and as somebody who likes old school music with guitars and distortion and everything that goes with it, I hope it has an influence.

christina chalos I'm pretty sure Poppy's mom is very happy and proud. Poppy's dad was a drummer in a punk rock band so I'm sure this is just another normal day in the Pereria family. Hell, when Poppy was a little girl she was the mascot for a roller derby team.

Ice Huggy Sinclair is not as involved as he once was. Poppy even said at an interview that he was just her director and helped her create. She said everything else was other people's jobs. It really looks like their relationship is professional and they are just friends and not dating. There's a rumor that Poppy is with Chris Greatti. Besides Sinclair, he's her next biggest writing partner and he's also the lead guitarist for Blame Candy.

Poppy is an OBJECT. .. a deliberately created character...... the social commentary presented in the poppy project is meant to make obvious the "programmed pop stars" who are embroiled in the lucifarien agenda that we see in the MAINSTREAM every day . top 40 artists show blatant devil worship in their videos and concerts. money worship is symbolic of devil worship as an example. the poppy project is meant as sarcastic humor poking at the mainstream. To be considered as True Art, the Art(ist) must PROVOKE and elicit both positive as well as negative responses. If "everybody loves it" or "everybody hates it" it is not Art. . .Example the premier mainstream Artist/Muse Marina Abramović. Her work is of an earlier era, when people HAD to communicate face to face. The performance art she and Ulay did in the early years was BRUTAL to say the least. The interwebs and internets have become the new communication. Titanic and Poppy are also telling a brutal story, using Poppy's Kawaii visual aesthetic, Titanic's Warhol-esque directing style inserting intentional symbolism with a David Lynche/Angelo Badalamenti inspired sound, ... designed to unnerved.
