Omg, i can’t believe you did this reaction! i love it!! ❤ Anyways, the reason these songs sound so different is because this was like the pre era of portals that had a completely vision, more magic like and was produced by one love and kinetics! These two producers produce most of mel’s unreleased crybaby tracks.

i’m so glad you finally reacted to these songs! i wished these tracks were reworked and made it on the deluxe, especially needle and thread. if you plan on reacting to more, one song i’d like to suggest is the demo to death. death’s demo is in a similar situation to void, where it’s vastly different from the finalized version. the entire song is a piano ballad and what i believe to be is melanie’s most depressing song. the closest song i can compare it to is bittersweet tragedy.

I agree with you that the unreleased songs don’t really match the album if they were to be released. I believe Melanie was planning to make this a medieval themed album until she eventually scrapped the idea. However, my favorite unreleased songs, Dragons Blood and Garden could have made it on to the deluxe album just like Sirens did. They had the same medieval and mythology vibe too.
