@@Emerald-t7k I think it's also worth noting that even if they followed these notes 1:1, they're just notes. You can only go so far with just ideas, they'd be forced to come up with their own material at some point. Also how Monty's vision was never one set path, it was constantly evolving as he liked to come up with big plot points on the fly and try to find a way to fit it into the writing. It's like how Dust was super important in V1 but was downplayed V2 forward, or how the maidens didn't exist until writing for V2. This idea of "Monty's vision" could never be understood by anyone except for the man himself.

i think the main argument that people have is Shane's letter and Kathleens support on the letter. Which by the way if you've ever read the letter yourself instead of someone else's opinion on it then you'd find the glaring flaws on your own. The other part of it was discontent towards RT themselves and the choice's they've done as a company between having episodes release earlier by a week for their paid members, their contract dissolution with Vic (which triggered certain youtubers that are more outwardly vocal) in turn influenced their audience. Lastly people just like having their own headcanons and want to push stories in directions they like and as such blame the writing which in turn has them think it "sullies" monty's vision AKA Monty Purists.

I too am tired of the hate and such, which is why I've mostly been avoiding the fandom and others out there cause I don't want to read and hear their negativity. Okay, so Adam on the train was real, but the farmhouse was a hallucination. You can tell because on the train he's in his new gray outfit with the blindfold that none of the girls have seen, but at the farmhouse he's in his old black V3 outfit with the grimm mask.

@@KitsyX I don't think it checks out, Doylistically. The animators made a deliberate choice to use that model, a model they only built for when Adam shows up in flashbacks. If they wanted to imply that Adam was out in the blizzard, instead of still hiding on the train to Argus, they would have put him in his V6 outfit.

I know im a bit late to this, but i recently discovered you. Your reactions are so entertaining and down to earth. You make me laugh so much. That being sad, this part made me cry when you were talking about Monty leaving behind a legacy and message. I found out about Monty's RWBY back in 2013 when the Red Trailer dropped. My and my friend thought it was so dope that we'd watch it together. Sadly, my friend was killed in Afghanistan while we were serving. I vowed to continue watching in his honor, and I still do to this day. Monty has inspired me to write and make my own characters in his world. I can never express how grateful I am to Monty for all the experiences. Keep up the good work, Ghost.

Jeff and Casey have had my top spot on my yearly Spotify round up for the last 8 years because of albums like this. Watching you, and other reacters, feel the same joy and loss and pain and relief and happiness that I’ve felt through nearly ten years of RWBY has brought me a whole new level of appreciation for this show. I am such a different person than I was when I first watched the Red trailer and this album more than any other has given me reflection on that point. Thousands of tears and millions of smiles. Monty and CRWBY has given me, and so many others, so much just being a consistent point of enjoyment and self-reflection in our lives. So many people outside of the fandom have no idea what it means to be part of the RWBY experience and community. Just crazy to think that a decade of my life has passed and RWBY, the community, the reactions, have just been there. *Watches the first few minutes confused then realizes you didn't have you camera on* There there Ghost it's ok~ It was really funny at least? Your face in hands reaction upon realizing what had happened kind of left me absolutely cackling, sorry/not sorry~ XDDDDD And yeaaah poor Son Rondue. He was holding up so well *wipes away tear* (plus side though, now you can see why we the RWBY fandom love to watch v3 reactions. It's weirdly cathartic seeing someone else shut down the same way one does from the same moments and there's an odd excitement in seeing if, like Ruby and JNR, they have the will to carry on past that point). Very excited to see how he adjusts to the slower more somber tone of v4; just a guess on my part but I get the feeling the increase in 'plot stuffs to notice' and mix of environments and factions will be good for him (though that one 'Jaune training' scene is probably gonna hit him like a truck). Um. Since people are already hyping it up -guys stop spoiling things by implication holy shit- whether v8 is worse than v3 depends on how you see things I think. I personally found it oddly hopeful but for others it was truly brutal. And since there's currently no v9 to help us move past v8 (like v4 does for v3) I feel a lot of people are more 'stuck' in their initial impressions than they might be. Sorta like how RWBY's 'cliffhangers' only hurt as intensely as they do when you're going episode by episode as opposed to binging a volume. Regardless I too second the saving of chibi; you WILL need something to help 'come down' from one of the more intense arcs of the story, it'll help with that emotional limbo I mentioned above, and most importantly it'll help you not slam face first into the 'current RWBY drought/hiatus' brick wall which... Kind of takes some getting used to once you're there... X'D *cries* Upside though is there's also the animated RWBY fairytale side series to check out when you've caught up, plus a wait of only a few months as opposed to a year or more for v9 so yeah. Happiness~

Yeah, unfortunately for Neo, she is too focused on revenge, and Cinder knows and exploits that. Although, whilst it's true that Cinder was the mastermind behind the Fall of Beacon and the one who gave Roman and Neo their orders, the blame for Torchwick's death does not rest solely on her shoulders. Firstly, Torchwick himself was to blame, as despite having knowledge of the Grimm's behaviour, he still made the grave mistake of spewing out negativity in his rampage on Ruby, which ultimately resulted in his own death. In this way, Torchwick had a hand in essentially killing himself. Secondly, Cinder was not wrong, Ruby Rose is *_very much_* a contributor to Roman's demise, as it was Ruby who knocked Neo out of the fight on top of the Atlas command ship and riled up Roman to the point of him unwittingly bringing about his own death with his own negativity. Cinder *_NOT_* be lying; Ruby is just as much to blame as the rest of them, if not more so. And lastly, although she herself does not see it, the other person that takes an equal share of the blame for Roman Torchwick's death in fact none other than Neo herself. After all, it was Neo who allowed herself to be defeated by a weaker and less-skilled opponent like Ruby; either Neo was overconfident or just not fast enough, as she was able to be overcome by Ruby's ingenuity and rendered herself helplessly floating away and unable to defend Roman. Torchwick's death is as much on Neo as it is on Cinder and Roman himself, if not more so. If Neo had not allowed herself to be defeated so quickly and easily, and had remained there with Roman, she may have been able to defend Roman from the incoming Grimm, or if she hadn't been knocked away and she and Torchwick were still whaling on the girl, Roman would never have had any reason to be angry and the Griffon wouldn't have come to devour him in the first place. Cinder may be the one-eyed one here, but right now Neo’s rage is blinding her even more.

The songs in this soundtrack are phenomenal, honestly. Indomitable is a tear jerker every time and getting lyrics to Pyrrha's theme is Soo good. Also in nevermore, there's a second singer called Adrienne Cowan, who sounds amazing as you heared. Thankfully we hear her again in V7 in the 'Maiden Quartet' (not a spoiler, just a nice name). One thing Gives us a good look at Neo's backstory, but Roman Holiday gives us a proper look at both her and Roman's stories, it's a brilliant book that I 100% recommend. A thing to note about Lionized is that you can see Adam's progression throughout the song. Going from a Hero who wants to help his people because he has the strength to do so, to a maniac who sees himself as his people's savior. All in all this volume's soundtrack is magnificent, but I still think V7 beats it, with Caleb's song, the Maiden quartet and the first song in the show written by Casey (which is amazing, because of course it is). I think you'll absolutely love V7 😁

Hey there Ghost, I want to clarify something concerning 50:50. If you compare outfits, you'll see that Adam was wearing the same kind of outfit on the train and in the final fight. The outfit that Yang saw was the old version, aka what she remembered. So, real = train and final. PTSD/Hallucination = Cabin. Hope that helps. 🙂

The sad thing about pyrrah is that she was basically groomed her entire life to be the greatest warrior. She thought it was her destiny to become one. But when she met jaune, she found that all she really wanted, was a simple life with a family. So it especially hurts when she decided to fight cinder, knowing she would die. She sacrificed her chance of happiness because she knew she was the only one who might have a small chance of victory.

I can't listen to this song without crying either so to be able to watch your reactions to it I had watch this bit in 2x speed. *Coping strats, yo* X''''D Legit though, Indomitable is just. It's hard to judge it as a RWBY track I like because it hits too heavy and real if that makes any sense (even before I understood much about who Monty was or knew anything about his quote) but there's no way I can describe it as anything less than beautiful because it absolutely is, and that moment it played in show was just..! Indomitable isn't a song I can play or add to a playlist for regular listening but damn if it doesn't get across the sheer devotion and passion Monty and his friends and family have. Forever Fall: Ahhhh yes my other favorite song on the OST~ XD *cackles why watching you and the people in stream burst into tears because apparently I'm a sadist XDDDD* Jokes aside though, this song is so beautiful... Not only does it finally give us the lyrics for the Jaune and Pyrrha leitmotif that used to play whenever they were on screen together, but also... We knew that both Pyrrha and Jaune were in really bad places emotionally when they met and the way this song sings about the other brought them hope and saw them in a way the rest of the world couldn't, and how not even death can separate the feeling they *still* hold for each other... I love this song because it could be from Jaune or Pyrrha about the other and as heart breaking them being separated by death is, they'll still always be connected by the little time together they had and that's just. Gut wrenchingly beautiful. (Also feels very true to the older couples in my family who have been separated by death such as my Dad who's now outlived my mum by almost 15 years. Forever Fall is next to Die as his fav RWBY track -and I think Jaune might be his favorite character actually- so thankfully no accidentally making the family sad with my angsty as hell media choices but yeah. Funny how that works X'D). Much empathy for the fear of autumn resulting in tears though. I thankfully don't have a RWBY based 'thing in the media that sets me off' but like, ever since playing Persona 4 I get *really* twitchy when the area I live in gets blanketed in thick fog and I used to love that stuff so, its a valid concern 😂😹😿😭 Sirs and Madam's Covers: Oh damn. Volume 6 OST does go pretty hard lol. ...Volume 7 might be my favourite as an overall selection though... Has a fun amount of features too ^_^;; Volume 7 and 2 might be tied for me, even if some of my favourite songs might be in other volumes >_>;; Not sure... RWBY soundtracks have so many good tracks in them that it can be a hard choice... It'll be interesting to see what you think of the volume 7 OST anyway... Goes pretty hard in some places, but is pretty boppy in comparison to some of these more recent ones... Bit more relaxed in the fun of them, but there are some punches in there too.

Personally I think Indomitable is the #2 best song in RWBY, topped only by This Life is Mine. It should be noted there are two interesting things about Nevermore. It’s the first song to directly reference another song, as it responds to lyrics from Lionize. It’s also the first song in which someone other than Jeff, Casey, or Lamar participate. Regarding upcoming reactions, here’s how they work. First, RWBY: Ice Queendom IS NOT OWNED BY ROOSTER TEETH. Regular anime rules apply for reactions, you will have to edit, or you’ll get copyright issues. Regarding regular RWBY itself: episodes are released to FIRST members one week before they are made public to everyone else. So the way to approach them is film the episode like normal: however you cannot publish the video until 7 days after its initial release. So if Chapter 1 were to come out on say, February 11, you could film and edit then but you can’t post the video until February 18 when the episode is made public. Hopefully that explains it. idk if you noticed but the second verse of forever fall says "but this is INFINITE nothing even DEATH could separate our SOULS" and in v1 when pyrrha unlocked jaune's aura she said "INFINITE in distance and unbound by DEATH i release your SOUL" and i think that's such a good reference, another one is when the song says "cause you're my FINAL GOAL" and in v3 pyrrha said "when i think of destiny i don't think of a predetermined fate you can't escape but rather some sort of FINAL GOAL something you work towards your entire life" and i think it's so great also in rising there's "we are PARAGONS OF VIRTUE AND GLORY death can't bind our endless story INFINITE and UNBOUND" so that's also a reference to pyrrha when she unlocked jaune's aura "through this we become a PARAGON OF VIRTUE AND GLORY to rise above all INFINITE in distance and UNBOUND by death"

It's a short video where he gives the show some good natured roasting and it's HILARIOUS. If you need something to cheer you up going into vol. 7, or something to help you calm down going into vol. 8, that video is a good one. I have a problem with Indomitable. Don't get me wrong, I like it, it's great, but gosh dang it why couldn't it be "Red Like Roses Part 3"?! At this point, even Pyrrha, a dead character, has more songs than the main character herself! Baby girl is getting disrespected, and I don't like it. Literally a prime opportunity for another Ruby theme for the first time since volume 1, and they dropped the ball. Don't get me wrong, I like Indomitable, but at the same time they need to stop with the Monty tribute songs. I feel like they're trying to milk my tears and I don't like that. Forever Fall was already pushing it, but I give that a pass cuz it seems like they won't be doing it again, and I do believe that in the case of Forever Fall it was actually kinda well done and necessary. In comparison, Monty isn't really a character in the show, and he already had what I feel is a perfect send off with songs like Cold and Let's Just Live. So I just wish RT doesn't keep trying to milk my tears over Monty cuz, at least in my own eyes, it's starting to feel a little disrespectful both to my emotions and to the man himself. Maybe that's just a me feeling, idk. Also, give my girl part 3 of her theme song people, PLS! Musically blue balled for over 5 years...
