You may know Taemin who is a very popular solo artist and is a member of SuperM. All of the younger groups look up to them and many have covered their songs. I think you would really like Taemin's videos. Shinee is famous for their live concert performances and are known as the Princes of Kpop. Legendary

starting from the beginning, with replay, is always a good way to start a shinee journey. perhaps a guide as well. that way you can see their growth. also, shinee has some of the best b sides in the industry, so you may want to do album listens too.

Thank you for your reaction! SHINee is my favorite group of all times. I totally recommend you dive in their music because it is the best. Also all of members has a solo career so you can react to it too. They are on hiatus now, because three of them are in the military service, but our leader Jinki will come back in 9 days, and other two will come back in fall. SHAWOLs expect a new album maybe in the end on the year. Also, Taemin the youngest member who stay will have comeback in few weeks, you may know him from SuperM, he is in it. I highly recommend you to check out his MVs for MOVE, WANT, Press Your Number and DANGER. Is it GOLD seriously! He is considerate one of the best dancers in Kpop, his body control are no joke. By the way he is friends with BTS Jimin and EXO Kai. Other members: Onew(Lee Jinki) MV - Blue, live per. - Rainy Blue, Nessun Dorma Jonghyun(Kim Jonghyun) MVs - Crazy, She Is, Shinin', for live performance you can choose any of them because they all great. He was the best vocalist in Kpop in my opinion. Key(Kim KIbum) MVs - I Wanna Be, Forever Yours, One Of This Nights, but seriously you just have to listen to all of his FACE album, there is no just one bad song, best album for real. Minho(Choi Minho) MV - I'm Home SHINee is one of the most balanced group, all of the members can sing and dance, and their live performances are even better than MVs. Legendary live performances - Excuse Me Miss (SWC 4), Evil (SWC 3), Like a Fire (SWC 3), Replay (their debut song)(SWC 4), Dynamite (SWC 4), Romeo+Juliet (SWC 5). SHINee are legends! Dubbed "The Princes of KPOP". I would start from the beginning if you want to learn about this group! They are my favorite KPOP group of all time, and Jonghyun (the member that passed away) is my Ultimate Bias. They are known for the harmonies and their impeccable stage presence and most importantly their brotherhood. To really understand this group you must start from their beginning and watch how they grow into the most A-MAZING group. Their Bsides, and the LIVE performances are incredible and a must see/hear,! They are well respected in the industry and known as mentors to the newer groups like EXO, Red Velvet, NCT and BTS. I think if you have the time, dig deep into getting to know this group, you will be pleasantly surprised :)

I see SHINee, I click. It's worth mentioning that Countless was inspired by the Elenium series (you can see the previous three videos also share parallels with the series). This song gains so much more meaning once you know what the series is about. I recommend looking into it 😊

Welcome to SHINee World (SHAWOL - abbrev. for SHINee World and the fandom name)! SHINee debuted on May 25, 2008. They just celebrated their 12th anniversary. At the time of debut, the members were between the ages of 18 to 14 (Baby Taemin). Their debut song, "Replay", is known as one of the greatest debut songs ever in Kpop. It is still much beloved today by many 3rd & 4th gen groups with many covers of it by those groups. The most recent cover was done by TXT. In fact, many younger idols cite SHINee as being the inspiration for them becoming idols. SHINee is tremendously revered and respected throughout Kpop. Newer idol groups all try to attain what they call the "SHINee Standard". Their songs span generations and genres with a huge discography which includes their group songs, as well as their solo endeavors - Taemin, the maknae, with the most solo albums and songs SHINee is legendary because of their many contributions that make Kpop what it is today. It is well acknowledged in the Kpop world that without SHINee, Kpop wouldn't have made the giant leaps in progress as quickly had it not been for them. Why, because from the get-go, SHINee broke molds and stereotypes. They are adventurous and not afraid to experiment with their music, choreography, and image. They are sassy, savage, bold, and quite hilarious. Known as trendsetters in the industry, SHINee started the dance practice video trend beginning with their very first song's dance practice video - "Replay" and then regularly uploading other dance practices. Halloween became a "thing" in Korea, a country which didn't really celebrate that holiday, when SHINee decided to attend the annual SM party dressed in outrageous costumes because the party happened to fall on October 31st. The CEO and SM artists got such a kick out of it, the annual party became the annual Halloween party. This spilled over to Halloween dance practices. Key, rapper/lead vocalist with the nasal-tinged voice who can hit sick high notes, and the sassiest of the bunch is also the fashionista of the group. He started to experiment with SHINee's wardrobe, earning him a gig as their fashion director. Hence, "skinny jeans" were introduced to Kpop and became a standard wardrobe necessity - even the pastel colors of the jeans caught on and soon, all of Korea was sporting these jeans. Outside appearances were not the only things SHINee experimented with. Armed with very distinctive individual voices, when SHINee came together, they produced the most heavenly harmonies ever heard. They soon became known as CD-Nees, meaning their voices were CD-quality -- sounding just as good, if not better, live than their recorded voices. In fact, they were so good, they mentored both EXO and NCT. Originally conceived to be a Hip Hop group, the managers realized SHINee didn't really fit that image, so they went with R&B, which suited the guys much more. However, it also became quite apparent very quickly that SHINee was not satisfied with just being pigeon-holed into one genre. When you have a guy like Jonghyun on your team, things are bound to expand musically. A masterful lyricist with arguably the best voice in Korea, Jonghyun catapulted SHINee into experimental music and mixing/crossing genres. SHINee introduced dubstep, deep house, and other types of music to Kpop. They were the first group to really be given creative license to do what they wanted with their music. Early on they proved, through hit after hit, that it's best to let them direct their own path. This was virtually unheard of in Kpop at that time. SHINee were pioneers in this respect. Jonghyun ended up writing over 40% of SHINee's songs. Minho, our intensely competitive, sports maniac, "Flaming Charisma" lead rapper, writes the rap sequences for their songs. Choreography was another area where SHINee catapulted Kpop forward into future faster than it would have been. They perfected the synchronized choreo style. According to the members, this was largely due to Taemin. Not satisfied with the standard choreo, Taemin was always pushing for more intricate and difficult dancing. Thus, the more intricate formations you see today were born through SHINee and Taemin's quest for exploration and perfection. Lee Taemin, one of the youngest idols to ever debut at that time (14 YO), was an anomaly. He had no formal dance training. He started teaching himself how to dance through watching videos and practicing in front of a mirror after seeing Michael Jackson do a performance of "Smooth Criminal". He was chosen by SM immediately on his dancing alone at an open audition. Today, at just 26 (soon to be 27) he is widely acknowledged as one of the best, if not THE BEST (especially IMHO), dancers in Korea. One of his nicknames is "The Korean Michael Jackson". No one I've ever seen has the body/muscle control that Taemin does. He can literally isolate each muscle in his body and move like liquid silver. He is beloved and widely respected by Kpop artists and also considered a Kpop legend. Admitted by Lee Soo Man, CEO of SM, Taemin is SM's "Ace" and literally gets whatever he wants. At 21, he was chosen to be the first SHINee member, and first SM artist from a boy group, to very successfully go solo. Building upon that experimental spirit he grew up with with SHINee, Taemin's solo music is VERY different from your standard Kpop. It's always a surprise, and it's FANTASTIC! He's one of the first artist to bend standard Korean gender norms for choreo with his song, "Move", which shows men and women can perform the same choreo. Choreography can be androgynous. He is also the first idol in history to debut four times in three different generations of Kpop groups. He is still active in SHINee and Super M. Lastly, but not least by any means, is Onew, our fearless leader of the group. Onew is quiet and the calmest member of the group, although he is extremely funny on variety shows. He has the most infectious smile and huge singing voice, outdone only by Jonghyun. Onew holds the record for the longest, sustained note at 40 seconds in the song, "Friends". You can find this on KZbin. He also can sing Opera! Yes, on a whim he decided he wanted to see if he could sing opera. So, he practiced "Nassum Dorma" and performed it flawlessly during one of their concerts. He also holds the record for the most powerful ttakbam in Korea...just look up "Onew ttakbam" and you'll see what I mean. As far as what to react to...well, there's so much that there is always something for everyone. Some of my favorites are: "Evil" from their SWC-III Concert in Seoul; "Hitchhiking" also from SWC III - Seoul; "One Minute Back", "Sherlock+Shine+Stranger", and "Nightmare" from SWC IV in Tokyo Dome; "Farewell My Love", "Chocolate", "Trigger", and "Why So Serious" from SWC V in Tokyo Dome. Based upon your reaction here, I think you would fall in love with their latest album completed in 2018 before Onew, Key, and Minho went into the military - "The Story of Light", released as 3 mini-albums, but also available as one full album. You can listen/react to the songs here on KZbin. The whole album is basically a tribute to their love for Jonghyun. "Countless" was one of the songs on that album. Taemin has promised they will be having a comeback in the latter part of this year when the other three members return. Onew has just come back this last week. BTW: SHINee was one of the first groups from the Big 3 who openly and warmly welcomed BTS. In fact, Taemin and Jimin are friends, did a collab together, and are in the "The Padding Squad", a group of friends who get together as often as they can and go on trips with each other. I loved your reaction Lucifer was one of the first dances that was hard to go truely viral in kpop, Before that boy group dances where not a big thing, case and point sorry sorry by super junior, again and again by 2pm the dances where hard but easy at the same time. Lucifer really took dancing for K-pop groups to the next level and you really had to pay attention to the dance moves. I feel like you would love there Japanese songs as well, SHINee really has some great music. Another group you should check out is there sister group f(X) very popular girl group with a similar type of concept as SHINee there music definitely mirrors one another. Their known as 5 vocals,5 visuals and 5 dancers Last year is also my deep kpop journey, and from all kpop groups i studied and listen, SHINee is the one who captivated me, well for me vocals is no 1 requirements, no 2 is stage pressence 😁, this group own it. I feel like you haven't seen SHINee, until you have seen their live videos. Like. You cannot understand how good these guys are unless you are watching their live performance. I don't like Lucifer as a song or a music video, but live, their vocals are so freaking good I don't care that I don't like it, it still sounds incredible.

Jungkook actually covered this song, but I think a lot of people missed the meaning behind the song. Here is her live performing it on Sketchbook with English subs, Jonghyun wrote the lyrics and produced the music and it is lyrically one of my favorite songs. There was a reason why their was 4 members in the second song you reacted to.....one ...Kim Jonghyun...he killed himself due to his bad depression in 2017....
