Slater was definitely one of the more decent, more tolerable housemates in PBB. I think after their season, PBB just went downhill in terms of housemates. Minsan minsan nalang may nakakapasok na matinong housemates after nito. I like that up to now, it’s still apparent that Slater still sees his experience in PBB as significant. He doesn’t find it funny or shallow at all. He respects that phase in his life. I watched PBB as a college student (the first season was THE best) and if I had free time, I think it would be interesting to rewatch a season or two and see how I would perceive the whole context of PBB as an actual adult who now has a different, more expanded view of life.

I remembered one PBB heart to heart confession Slater said to Kuya was when one of the housemates shared that he was happy that he and his family ate chicken for graduation. Slater then said that he realized how privileged he was then cause when he graduated college he didn’t like the car given to him. One of the reasons why I'm a Civil Engineer now is Slater Young. I'm a huge fan of PBB back then and I dreamed of becoming an official housemate so I took and really worked hard on finishing my Civil Engineering Degree 'coz I wanted to follow Slater Young's footsteps. However, when I managed becoming an Engr., PBB already changed its purpose. From being a reality show, it became an Artista Search. I still tried my luck tho and auditioned last year (2020) and for this year's (2021) edition but as expected, the likes of me are no longer relevant to what PBB is looking for. That ends my dream of becoming a PBB housemate but I'm still thankful that part of who and what I have become is because of PBB and as I have mentioned earlier, because of Slater Young.

I think since 2008, I was in grade 2 by that time, I've been watching PBB religiously, but the only Big Winner I truly admire is Engr. Slater & I was in 2nd yr hs by that time. I just felt bad because I was waiting for ABS-CBN to starr him in their telenovelas/movies. I was like "What happened to my favorite housemate!?". Years passed, I graduated from college with a degree of Civil Engg, sharing the same passion with my idol "The Hotshot Engineer ng Cebu".
