This is not her best UR performance but she still nailed it. She said UR is like a homework for her. If you want to see her best UR performance you can check the fancam by jovial mood or flying petals for her butterfly kiss concert. She's on her best throat condition at that time The good things about taeyeon is, because she had live band you would pick your favorite performances from different concerts based on the arrangement you like, how she pulled the song (sometimes she pulled different adlibs for the same songs) and the choreography, and also the concert design. so you keep anticipating for each of concert eventhough you've seen the performance of that song before. Especially her korean and japan concert had totally different vibe because of the band. Also i forgot it it was for this showcase or for her japan tour but she did have a backing vocalist, she (the backing vocalist) played percussion instruments too at the same time so you couldn't really see her

Yeah she really is unlucky with all that she's been through. Rival fans of the group love to hate on her, because they know full well Taeyeon is the heart of SNSD. I remember that silly Wiz Khalifa beef too, was neither of their fault for that mess but Taeyeon ended up missing out on that collab opportunity. Still she persevered and became the industry icon she is today.

The best performance should be Butterfly Kiss UR, and it is a FANCAM, she sounded so good there and emoted so well. Taeyeon has very high standards on herself and always strives for perfection. She cried in her japan tour once because she didn’t think she performed well when singing UR and said that it’s always like homework for her, one of the hardest songs for her to sing, she cried a lot...it broke my heart. One thing I like about her is that she always tries to improve and worked so hard to be a great singer.

Btw the stress video is a fancam! By flying petals, probably one of the biggest fansite! Her videos are so high quality you wouldn’t realise it’s a fancam. Also Flying Petals is probably the most dedicated fansite in the whole kpop, she stuck by taeyeon’s side and you can find her videos from 2008!

taeyeon tries very hard to be able to perform fully live in her concerts and i love her so much for it 🥺her first ever solo concert back in 2015 she literally broke down in tears on stage because she couldnt perform as well as she wanted to (2014/2015 was the height of her mental struggle and it affected her physically, in regard to her voice and weight). she regularly still gets voice lessons and now tries to have a better lifestyle because she says she wants to be able to perform for as long as she can (which is also why she only really does music, her variety show rn is her first in 10 years-she doesnt really act or do other things except celebrity stuff like commercials)

What always gets me about Stress is the way she nails those notes even while bopping up and down and twirling around, like the breath control to do that is ridiculous. Also def listen to the studio version, it's such a great song. I'd strongly recommend checking out her live performance of Four Seasons (specifically the "@ ' s...one TAEYEON CONCERT" version), I think it is a genuinely perfect and incomparable vocal performance (and the live band makes an already fantastic song even better).

I love the official releases of her concerts but finding rare and amazing fan cams are just hidden treasures because you get to hear her raw voice during those performances without all the post editing stuff (which really isn’t a lot to begin with). I'm SO glad you finally reacted to U R!!!! But I'd prefer if you reacted to the busan one, the one in the pink dress. There is no backing vocals there, literally acapella. I also think that one shows the song more, this one seems to be a bit lower than the original. PLEASE! react to the busan one where she is in a pink dress, her vocals were insane and I watch that clip daily. Taeyeon regarded this song as one of her hardest songs, but recorded it in one try! I'd also like you to react to taeyeon's cover of "When we were young" by Adele. The clip was deleted by the show in youtube, so there are only lyrics and audio (taeyeon fans uploaded it). But you could react to the lyrics and audio, and then react to the video in reddit on your own time!
