in the Paper Mario announcement they showed a purple toad in Rogueport that didn’t exist in the original, implying they’re adding at least some new characters, i hope they add some extra gameplay, maybe post-game or side quests?

That's interesting. I guess we'll just have to see if they show anything off at the next Nintendo Direct. Extra content would be nice and appreciated, especially if they are able to trim down some of the backtracking.

My big hope for TTYD is that they adjust the backtracking. Going forward, I feel so much better about the future of the series. The fact that they ended on this announcement shows that they know how big of a deal it is.

Interesting. I haven't played Dream Team, but my understanding was that the fans consider it to be the worst game in the series. I could be wrong though. I'll have to play it for myself at some point to form my own opinion.

@JJZillennial I would say a Superstar Saga remake, but there was already one on the 3DS(that and Bowser's Inside Story), so I went for one in the series that didn't have one(Partners in Time and Dream Team)

A TTYD remake is something I don't personally care too much about as I have the original on Gamecube, and I don't especially care about HD graphics. However, I do hope that the remake means more people will get to play and appreciate TTYD (and my sourpuss purist side wants them to realize how much better it is than the last three games). Peach game looks awesome.

Considering a lot of people never owned a Gamecube and the fact that the Switch is incredibly succesful, it means a lot more people will get to experience TTYD for the first time, and this will likely mean good things for the future of the series.

As of right now, it's not anything I'm planning for the 2024, but if there is enough demand, I may revisit the idea in the future, as I already have lore plans for the next dozen videos. It would be fun to do at some point!

Yeah, part of me thinks they'll just reuse the original English localization, but if they can take cues from the Italian version that would honestly be ideal. With all the awareness of trans issues, especially in the west, it's definitely possible.

Found your channel when I was checking out other people's reactions, DEFINITELY subscribing and checking out your other stuff. I can't believe TTYD HD is real, I'm so excited! I'm obsessive and I already noticed a few differences in the dialogue (Bowser saying "LUNKHEAD" instead of "AIRHEAD" for example), TEC having the red lens instead of the blue one from the localized version, as well as the logo just straight up being stylized more like the Japanese version. Makes me wonder if there will be other differences; Maybe Vivian can actually be trans in the English version now??? As long as they handle it well, I'd be overjoyed by that. Buuuut I'm not gonna get my hopes up too much, hahaha. I don't think Nintendo has given us much positive representation thus far.
